EDIT: Originally posted this in the Writer's Block forum, but then decided to move it here.

I'd like to create this thread so people can introduce and discuss ideas for crossovers with World Of Darkness.

Here are some of mine:

  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
    • A Mage LARPer wishes that the game was real. Kyubey, not being familiar with the game and how much of a monumentally bad idea this is, grants it...
    • A Mage opens an interdimensional portal into Homura's universe, and Kyubey attempts to harvest Mages as a source of energy. Needless to say, this really pisses them off...
  • Harry Potter
    • Harry reads the Mage books and bases his worldview on them rather than the Hogwarts curriculum. Through some kind of warped placebo effect, he becomes an actual Mage.
    • A Mage opens an interdimensional... you know the drill. Voldemort is quickly displaced by evil Mages and Harry and his friends have to work with "good" Mages to save the world from enslavement and death.
  • Familiar Of Zero
    • Saito originates in the WoD and is some kind of supernatural subject.
  • Planescape
    • Planewalkers find their way to the WoD. Something interesting happens.
  • Warhammer40000
    • Well, they're both grimdark, right?
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion
    • When he enters Unit-01, Shinji awakens as a Mage. Oh, Crap!.

Here's a list of written crossovers I was able to find that I believe are of at least moderately good quality, if mostly Dead Fics:

Dreams of the Watchtowers, a Neon Genesis Evangelion/Mage The Awakening crossover. When Shinji enters Unit-01, he awakens as a Mage.

Harry Potter, the ArchMagus, a Harry Potter/Misc. Lierature crossover. When Harry is attacked by Dudley one day, he realizes he is magical, and bases his model of magical science on whatever fantasy novels and roleplaying games he is able to get his hands on, including Mage The Ascension.

Beyond the Hedge, a Mass Effect/Changeling The Lost crossover. When Female!Sheppard is thrown into space after the Normandy's destruction in the prologue of Mass Effect 2, she is rescued by a Keeper.

Call of the Hunt, a Naruto/Werewolf The Forsaken crossover. When Naruto fails the exam, he gets so angry that he awakens his latent werewolf heritage and runs so far away from home that he ends up in the World of Darkness. As it turns out, the Nine-Tailed Fox is originally a native of this world, and wastes no time in reclaiming his place as god of the Kitsune.

  • Fate Stay Night
    • The Holy Grail War takes place in the World of Darkness. The ritual of the war acts as the quintessence for a spell worked by an Archmaster (the contestants, of course, still think it will grant them a wish.)
    • FSN setting, with an Awakened mage summoned to the Caster class for the 5th War, possibly with other supernaturals filling other classes.

You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.

[up] Interesting, but in an action-oriented story the characters would probably die in quick succession, as the superpowers are quite paltry in comparison to most supernatural anime or manga.

I have a friend that wrote an one-shot of Sierra, from Total Drama World Tour, turning into a gargantuan changeling. I don't know nothing of the game, but he tried to show to me, since it was part of an even bigger crossover. The guy had only one review and it was a flame. [See here. By the way, I don't know a thing of World of Darkness, so the story, in spite of having kind of a lovecraftian tone (and other... things I could tell him to avoid to do), in my opinion I was neutral, but yet I decided to share here, I mean, if is for any use.

[up][up] Zeno: If you're referring to the second scenario, that's really not a problem as the Servant system would bring the Wo D supernaturals up to par with the other Heroic Spirits. For example, one spinoff (Fate/Apocrypha) has Jack the Ripper and Shakespeare as Servants, while another (Fate/EXTRA) has Sir Francis Drake as a Servant (and also a woman). None of them had supernatural capabilities in life but are powerful enough as Heroic Spirits to fight evenly with the others.

[up] Ah.

In the 1st scenario, however, I'd expect the characters to be a more craven lot. Less fighting your enemies face-to-face, more pulling strings to keep them occupied with the IRS while you look for the grail.
