Does Not Illustrate (runoff crowner): Space Marine

I like the first of those because it shows more than one guy; the second might be a lone Powered Armor dude. I like the third but some people think a space background is important.

If we get permission from the relevant artist, then I suggest either this or a crop of [1].

That first one is the best yet.

Support the first picture in 27, it's the most illustrative so far.

CI rather prefer the third Star Craft image. Yes, it's not explicitly set in space, but it's pretty clearly not Earth. And it shows what Space Marines inevitably end up doing—fighting hostile aliens.

Also we don't have to ask permission for it. Has anyone tried to get permission for the one in 27?

The third and last ones are niiice. I don't know if I prefer them to #27, but it'd be convenient not to have to ask permission.

The third is okay, it's a group, but I think generally a squadron says "space marine" better than a lone figure.

I don't think Shepard works at all. He looks like a guy in an armoured space suit. Much more unique than a soldier. Too much Special Character and too little Space Marine.

My problem with the Terran Marines one (currently leading... just) is that it isn't very spacey. The second is much better in that regard.

That's clearly an alien planet. Space Marines would seldom fight in actual space.

Uh like 90% of being one is fighting aliens. Is that based on the name and not description?

These look like generic monsters to me.

Caption can say alien... "image must say everything" attitude is frustrating.

I don't like the other one because it's just one guy. An important element is that it's a type of guy, probably in a platoon. "Marines" alone would not be well-represented by a lone figure. Also nobody has asked permission to use that AFAIK.
