"Nice work. Really got us out of a bad situation."

Red Arrow thanked Rock for his work.

Scott looked at everyone strangely. "What's with all the weird voices? Is that plant making you guys stupid or something?"

Scott shook his head and walked up to Flutterrush, hefting the potted plant. "Hey Rush, I swiped a plant for ya. Don't know what it is but those guys got us kicked out before I could grab anything else."

Claptrap decided to remain absolutely quiet once they entered the building. He moved himself along, but at a pace just behind the others, to make it look like he was being pulled by his 'owner'. And if someone decided to poke him to see how he worked, he would probably say something a generic doll would say, like 'you will always be my very best friend', or 'you have five seconds before I rip you to shreds'...wait. Outside of Pandora, didn't most dolls avoid death threats? Better stick with just the first one, then.

Inside of Claptrap, Hazama had raised the palm of his left hand to his forehead. While the robot was decent cover from the eyes of the curious and the music of this dreadful universe, he could still make out how over-the-top the others were being with the whole 'elaborate toy' ploy. Honestly, they were more likely to get caught by playing up their flimsy cover story than from the story itself. It was the freakin' 'Woodbending Tribe' thing all over again...

"Well, everybody's here." The Doctor said, clasping his hands. "Now, I believe we all deserve a little rest before we move forward with our plan of trying to get that plant. I suggest we all go to our rooms and rest, so we'll have our energies recovered for tomorrow morning. Hopefully, we'll be able to get the plant and go back to the ship."

He eyed the plant they were carrying, and slowly looked over at the others. "Does anyone want to sleep with the plant?"

Zuko smiled and said, "I've already got a roommate." He was glad about it, too; he certainly didn't want to be rooming with a magical plant.

Wally grimaced and stepped away from the group none-too-subtly. He was rooming with himself, so there wasn't enough room for anything else. There had to be someone else without a roommate.

"I'll room with Kid Flash or.......Arrow!" Rock said, not wanting to further upset the landlord and/or threaten the cover story he made.

Meanwhile, Flutterrush was thankful Scott was providing food for her. "Just give it here, quick!" the pony whispered, not wanting to attract the attention of anyone with lived in this wacky universe.

Scott hesitated. "Uh, how are you going to hold it? You haven't got hands. Do you want me to, put it on your head, or...?"

"Just put it in my mouth!" Flutterrush responded, and then opening her mouth.

Nana smiled and gave a polite bow to the old man, "Thank you for the rooms sir. It is very nice of you." The old man seemed perplexed by Nana, staring at her. She hoped he wasn't staring at her horns. She started to fidget, self-concious of the attention on her. It could also be the fact that she was being a lot more respectful then most people on Skid Row would expect.

Nana eyed the layout of the buildng with a little nervousness. There did seem to be rooms on this floor and other floors. Mr. Claptrappington would probably have trouble with the stairs. It would probably be easily done with her Vectors, but she wasn't supposed to use them in front of people. Well, the Votum people it is probably okay. They are Nana's friends. But not in front of the inn owenr. It might be best if he was on the first floor. Oh, and if he was supposed to be Nana's toy, he'd probably need to share a room with Nana.

Nana was still nervous and embarassed as she decided to ask everyone about this. The end result: a cute pink-haired girl achieving more adorableness, "Um, N-nana thinks it woud be hard to carry Mr. Clapptrappington up the stairs. C-can he be in one of the first floor rooms so w-we don't have to carry Mr. Clapptrappington upstairs, please?" This  was probably doing a excellent job of distracting the inn keeper from anything else happening in the room.

"I think North can carry it." The Doctor said, walking to Rock so he could get one of the keys. However, he stopped on his tracks once he spotted Scott with a flower in her hand... and Flutterrush with an open mouth. "Oh. Uhm. Is this something we were not supposed to see?"

"R-right. I'll see what I can do."

North shrugged. "Sure, I don't have a problem carrying him up."

Scott raised the plant halfway to Flutterrush's mouth when the Doctor interrupted. Scott looked from the Doctor to Flutterrush and back again. "What?"

Flutterrush quickly yanked the flowers out of Scott's hands with her teeth and eat them, looking up at the Doctor in obvious defiance.

"Great. Good." Sokka said, giving Pit a pat on the shoulder and a smile. "By the way, you look very—" His compliment was interrupted by the Doctor's laugh, who proceeded to pat Fluterrush in the head.

"Listen, if you like to eat plants, I don't have a problem with it!" He said, chuckling. "I mean, it makes sense, you're a pony, ponies eat plants. Why are you so afraid of showing who you truly are? Looks like the man with the dumb bow tie is smart after all."

"Actually, Nana, I think it's best if Claptrap stays with the Doctor." Sokka said, taking a step forward. "I'd like to not how you and Pit are the only two females in our group, and that's why we roomed you two together. While Claptrap is a robot, his voice and personality is most definitely male, so it's best if he stays with another male."

"This, however, doesn't fix the problem of who's going to sleep with the plant." The Doctor said, scratching his chin and staring at the plant... who was now staring at Pit, even though it lacked eyes.

Sokka gave Scott a glance, and smirked. "Me and Scott will do it. I mean, you aren't scared of sleeping with a menacing plant, are you, Scott?"

Kid approached Rock, smiling. "So, are we rooming together?" Thank god someone else was sleeping with the plant. It was a shame he didn't get his own room, but he could always go for one next time.

"Um... Why's the plant staring at me?"

"It, uhm, does that." The Doctor said, waving his hand in front of the plant, who changed his targets and started to stare at the Doctor. "See? Staring at me... very creepy, actually."

Nana turned to look at the plant after hearing Pit's question. How could the plant possibly be staring? It didn't have eyes. Maybe they smelled nice or something? The plant didn't like the smell of either of Nana's hands for some reason. "Maybe the plant smells something nice when people are near it. It didn't like the smell of my hands. Um, which room is the girls room?"

"The one with Pit." The Doctor said, throwing one of the keys over to Nana. "According to that key, it's on the second floor. Pit should be able to help you in case you have any problems."

"Yeah, sure!" Rock said to Kid Flash. "And you and I can take about our universes!" he said with a smile.

Red Arrow eyed Kid Flash and Rock and then hoped that he can sleep without anyone trying to assault him like all villains do.

Wally gave a little breathy laugh. "Sure!" He wondered what Rock's reaction would be should he tell him about his hobby. He didn't really know him well enough to judge that, but it would most likely be a negative reaction. Loner super-powered college student it was, then.

Like I said in the thread, advancing the story...

The next day...

"Alright, there is something definitely off." The Doctor said as he walked out of the buffet and back into the lobby, where the other members of the Votum were waiting. Nothing had happened during the night, and pretty much everybody managed to get a good night of sleep. Except when they woke up, everything felt off.

First of all, the calendars were now months ahead. When they went to sleep, it was February 17th. And when they woke up, it was the 18th... of July. The streets didn't seem as empty as before, mostly because there was a constant stream of people coming in and out of the little flower shop in the corner, whose windows were filled with posters advertising "Audrey II, the Eight Wonder of the World!" Newspapers were doing the same thing, as the crew members of the Votum could spot multiple editions of LIFE magazine talking about nothing but "Audrey II".

"How did we advance five months in one night?" The Doctor asked as he walked around in circles. "It has something to do with this plant!"

"I suggest we investigate." Sokka said, brushing his shoulders. "Besides, I don't want to stay one more night in the same room as Scott."

"What happened to our plant?" The Doctor asked.

"It's fine," Sokka replied, pointing at the stairs with his thumb. "It's on our room, staring at the floor, saying feed me or something like that."

"Wait a second, feed me? Did five months pass for the plant too?" The Doctor said, running around in circles. "Oh, bloody paradoxes! We need to investigate. We just spent five months in this one world... and... what if the musical field is starting to get to us? We need to feed our plant and find out what's happening with that other plant before today! We can't spend one more day in this place!"

"I think you need to feed it meat," Flutterrush said, not seeing anyone else in the lobby aside from the rest of the team. "It was pretty happy to just eat rats and bugs. Just need to find some more vermin for it to chow on."

Rock saw the Doctor pace around. He then looked around the room, seeing if there was anything in the room that might suddenly go undone and attack them all. He then pondered for good while......

"Everyone," the robot master spoke solemnly. "I think I better tell you all about what I know."

Red Arrow just had a good sleep when he noted that the calendar days were off after sleeping on and off a few times just to head to the toilet.

What the heck is this now?
