finally the x-men get their own world so people stop being racist towards them and no other superheroes.
More evidence that the reboot's gonna make everything exactly like the movies?
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Well not exactly. For one Miles wont be the Spider-man in MCU.
That's a pretty big jump to make about the X-Men's status quo. Especially when it's from a guy who admits to trolling the fans.
No more mutants in the main universe, then?
That's interesting. And also pretty irrevocable evidence that yes, this is a reboot.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Cyclops was right.
This is his exact quote:
"New world" could mean many things. I'm not sure how this equates to unequivocal proof they're literally being shunted off to their own universe and that it'll have no anti-mutant racism or whatever.
This is from the same interview where he tries to somehow claim the Spider-Man in All-New Avengers is totally not Miles. He likes needlessly prodding the fans.

It has unfortunate implications if they do put them in their own universe. the minority group is segregated to their own universe.
Plus Legion Of Superheroes beat them to that front way back in the 70's!
I hope the X-Men aren't actually split off to their own world. That would suck. Yeah yeah, I know everyone likes to bitch and moan about it making no sense for people to hate Kitty but not Wasp, and all that shit. But fuck it, the shared universe is fun. I love the idea of Beast randomly teaming up with Spider-Man, or Kitty breaking into the Fantastic Four's headquarters, or X-23 doing a mission with Black Widow. I like that stuff. I don't want to see that end. Especially since splitting the X-Men into their own world would likely make shit a whole lot darker. Right now, they can't really have a mutant blow up a huge chunk of Detroit and kill tens of thousands of people. If they get their own universe, that shit will likely happen routinely.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Alonso could be talking about the new worlds created during Secret Wars. That's how I took it.
In any case if it's true, count me out of All-New Marvel. The comics shouldn't be bending this much to satisfy the MCU.
I am not so sure this is "bending backwards to conform to the MCU", when the new Avenger team is pretty much nothing like the MCU's Avengers. If true, which I am still not convinced it is, it is more like they accepted the fallacy that mutant racism is not coherent with celebrities super heroes. I never like this argument because it is not like non mutants super heroes are all that popular in Marvel anyway. Yes, the FF and the Avengers are (even when they included mutants), but people like Spider-Man and Hulk received a fair share of hatred themselves. And other regular super heroes aren't particularly well liked, but they are more neutrally regarded. The mutants are specially hated, but that is supposed to be a bit irrational. Mutants aren't hated for having powers, not really. They are hated for being mutants. Whether they can shoot beams from their eyes or just having green skin is irrelevant.
Anyway, I will wait and see. Personally, I had stopped reading Marvel for quite a while already (ass I often do) I want to come back, but I will wait for that whole "reboot" thing clear up. If it is true, I might well not bother.
The idea, when slightly well-written, is that people hate mutants for that replacing humanity thing.
Not helped when even the 'good' mutants sometimes go around talking about how they're a superior species that will totally replace humanity.
The difference is that the good mutants are willing to wait.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI was gonna say that. I'm not sure how you can say "This is to make things even more like the movies!" when the only confirmed post-Secret Wars book so far is about as far away from its movie counterpart as you could possibly get.
Not much but the only real news is confirmation that yes there is going to be a Fantastic Four book after Secret Wars.
And in addition to the FF news, Tom Brevoort says the X-Men will still be part of the Marvel Universe.
Found this guide to pre-Bendis Cosmic Marvel◊. Will have to post this in the MCU thread the next time someone asks where they should start reading the books that led to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
All right, I'll bite.
Does anyone know how did Vance Astro get ahold of Captain America's shield?
He's from the futurrrrre
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah, he found it in his time(since Cap's long dead)and used it to inspire the surviving pieces of humanity. It's the reason he's "Major" IIRC to callback to Captain America.
It happened in the '90s Guardians of the Galaxy comic, by Jim Valentino. Basically, the Guardians found a book that showed a picture of Captain America's shield, and followed the clues, racing against a bad guy group until they both reached a planet run by a giant computer. The members of both teams engaged in duels to determine who would get the shield. In the end, Vance was deemed worthy of the shield. It also turned out the computer used to be the Vision.
It was actually kind of a meh story, though it did have some good stuff in it, and some nice character work.
Edit: A cool interview with Stephanie Hans. She talks about how Marguerite Bennett's scripts for Angela really push her to be more creative as an artist, which she fears and craves at the same time. Also, she did a couple designs for a Wonder Woman costume. I think the Roman-inspired one works really well.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.looking at Thor,i realised that they kinda tend to pull the "s/he's the best user of that " a lot for new Legacy Characters, don't they?is it to warm people up to them?
cause it can make them look a bit like Creator Pets if they overdo it.
Secret Signature
Mark Waid does a rundown of the cast.
http://marvel.com/news/comics/24338/mark_waid_assembles_the_avengers
Funny enough, he says the teen/legacy aspect was unintentional, since he came up with most of the cast because he was told to try and find characters who haven't already been Avengers, and after Bendis and Hickman, that's a small number according to him.
