@Lion Heart 0 Yeah I was joking about the Disney part
Can anyone convince these Marvel people otherwise?

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsNo. There's still people who blame Disney for Spectacular's cancellation.
Honestly, I'm hoping this show really is good. Honestly, I was not the biggest fan of Earth's Mightiest Hero, but I don't agree with a show being needlessly cancelled.
The only thing I like out of this is that Falcon is going to be in the MCU now (and this means that by correlation, he'll be used more in Marvel Comics as well.)
I dunno about falcon
I saw him at AEMH and super hero squad and he doesn't seem to be terribly interesting. But they said the same about Tony :)

Yeah, it did seems childish at parts and the dialogue could be a bit hokey compared to Young Justice, but it was still great.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThis seems like a really bad idea simply because you have to make a show measurably better than Avenger's: Earth's Mightiest Heroes to even have a chance of being successful.
This is not merely a case of fans getting mad because there is a misplaced feeling of a show being taken off the air so it can be replace with a similar show, this actually a case of that. This is already starting on the wrong foot with fans. Every single minute flaw will be held against this series. Depending how things shake out I could see this being a show as good as Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but with a negative reputation. Avenger's Assemble cannot just be good as that puts it a step below in quality, it cannot just be great as it would be pointless as we already have a great show, it has to be absolutely spectacular and nothing in Loeb's recent record shows he can deliver that.
The more I think about it, the stupider it sounds. Sighh..
@Lion Heart 0 Well in general, Disney is still blamed for Marvel going downhill

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsSo Marvel's admitted that they're cancelling a popular show only to replace it with one that has an identical premise 1) because Joeb wants his fingers into all the cartoons and 2) to coast on the popularity of the movies?
It's the kind of thing you hear people joke about executives doing, not what you'd expect to actually happen. Why try to fix what isn't broken?
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, Godfellashttp://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/07/13/how-earths-mightiest-avengers-transitions-into-avengers-assemble/ So AA is a JLU type of thing then. Hopefully its good.
It makes a lot of sense considering the way the most recent season ended.
One Strip! One Strip! It also says that AA will still use EMH canon.
That's actually a really good decision, all things considered.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!A good decision, or at least an interesting one. Certainly a last minute one, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I wonder how that's going to work out. A cast change isn't a big deal, but it begs the question of what happened to the members who aren't there anymore. If Giant Man is said to be joining at a later time, is it going to be Hank Pym back to his normal self, or is it going to be Scott Lang? And what about Wasp? Did she just quit? That seems out of character. I'm hoping she rejoins with Giant Man. It would really suck if she was killed off.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...I just saw the first 13 episodes of A:EMH in a row on Youtube. Whoa! This IS good! Most Avengers cartoons had been so mediocre over the years I didn't give it a chance when it came out, but I'm very impressed now. And you're getting this from someone who hasn't been excited by comics in decades. Let's hope "Assemble" does continue this level of quality!
Trying to tie cartoons to movie continuities is always a bad idea, because the movie sequels always end up going their own way, leaving the animated adaptations in uncomfortable middle points.
The only case where it really worked was in The Real Ghostbusters, but there, they rationalized the movies as being made in-cartoon universe, leaving them an easy way out.

If this is a continuation, a rename is needed...why?
If this is a continuation, why didn't they explain this during the first "Avengers Assemble" press release?
mudshark: I don't expect Nate to make sense, really. They likely didn't explain it because they probably didn't initially intend it to be this way.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Justice league unlimited had a different name and it went all right.
It is a last minute save, but hopefully it will turn out good.
And if it doesn't, we can form an angry mob.
One Strip! One Strip! The news about it being an EMH sequel is odd since the interviews said Falcon was supposed to be the youngest character and an Audience Surrogate. He doesn't look all that young in the EMH episodes I've seen him in.
Again, last minute change. It was initially most likely intended to be entirely a spin-off of the movies, so Falcon's role probably won't mesh with the role he had in EMH.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Ah ok. Well Falcon was only in I think 3 episodes anyway and we didn't know much about him. So I guess they'll just avoid mentioning his time with Code Red.
Or Loeb could just be lying for damage control. That's always an option.

I will miss WASP
