So basically Dark Souls but more penalty when died continuously?
Give me cute or give me...something?Basically.
Actually, that's really apt comparison, now that I think about it.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryI actually prefer that. It makes the game more challenging.
I'm wondering though, how many characters are there? Even if they're randomly generated it seems like they'd get pretty samey after a while.
I think that "only one zombie-you" thing might be a game balance choice. That way, if you die twice and both times you had good loot, you can't kill both zombie-yous to get double the awesome gear.

"We're home, Chewie."Which reminds me: The ammo in the weapons your character had does not get returned to the inventory.
I don't know about quick-access slot items, since the only one I'd've noticed, the weapons, I couldn't get to because my zombie self killed me before I could kill her.
Which further reminds me: Zombies have an instakill. I have no clue how it activates, but it's utter bullshit. :|
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryI killed a dev team zombie today! They were loaded with mines and flares. Also managed to snag a backpack upgrade.
I really, really love this game.
So I'm walking through Buckingham Palace right now. Went up into the library area and got ambushed. So I fled and prepared a Molotov. Only one comes after me and makes me waste it, thinking the others are following. So I go back in and die, predictably.
>:I
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValI have to say, the arena level is FUCKING BULLSHIT.
I'm not going to spoiler this part because it's gameplay ranting which people should be aware of. The level in question comes later in game, after Prepper warns you it's a trap. You'll likely know it when you see it. The result is that your weapons and items and everything you have are all taken away, and you are forced to fight armored zombies with not nearly enough ammo and no melee weapon, so you must rely on shooting exploding barrels, shooting exploding zombies, or using landmines in a later portion of it.
After you win, you are ambushed by even more zombies. What is not mentioned is that if you get to this point, you are no longer going to respawn in the area and instead back at the safehouse. If you die twice in the area, you will lose all your equipment and be forced to go hunting for it. There is no warning of it.
If this level was placed early in the game, I could forgive it, because then all the ammo loss could be absorbed. In fact, it probably could've been, seeing as how it doesn't rely on you having any one piece of equipment at all. But because of how it was done, I have ragequit it and likely won't go back to it any time soon. >:C
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryAs long as you have a plan, you'll be prepared for the arena and you'll live in one go.
Anyone else running into a glitch where the exact same survivor keeps appearing in the same parts of the level? One example is obviously the survivor in the Safe House right outside the door, holding planks, health kits, flares, and six pistol bullets.

Hello all.
Like most people I dismissed this game as a gimmicky artistically bankrupt cash in when it came out but I heard this game is worth checking out.

hashtagsarestupidIt's a good game if you have patience. The key to surviving in this game is to farm the city for supplies. Take your time in between objectives.
I head it's gamely compared a lot to dark souls. Any word on that?

hashtagsarestupidUbisoft continues to demonstrate their hatred of the Wii U.
"We're home, Chewie."The ports better bomb badly.
"A company not making a profit decides to expand it's market to make a profit? EVIL HERESY MURDER"
The most edgy person on the Internet.I'd be fine if they made a profit — apparently it's a good game, so y'know, whatever, if it means more good games get made, that's fine. But if the ones on PS and Xbox do well, and then they make a sequel, and the sequel isn't on Wii U, then I'll be mad.
I mean, I know that's a very specific circumstance that we have no idea whether or not it'll happen, but I basically expect Ubisoft to disappoint me by default, so.
"We're home, Chewie."If the ports do become a success it'll only show how sad a state the industry is in.
Ubisoft was all in on the Wii U in 2012 - and got burned. Badly.
Release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC version, August 18.
Cool. May pick it up later...it looks quite interesting...shame it wasn't on PC before.
Give me cute or give me...something?Why can't it emulate the tablet on Xbox One? Smartglass, Ubi. It exists.
So, disgustingly annoyingly, only one dead survivor will be saved at a time. So if you get killed carrying some phat loot, and then, when trying to retrieve it, you get killed by your previous character, you've successfully lost your phat loot. :|
