Ehhhh Is not like girl said guys are gross, the idea "the other is weird for silly reason" kinda happen and is not a bad thing.

If anything the issue is we dont see it equally, black girl for example then to be adultified with creepy degree as black male who are often see as adult in children or teenager bodies, meanwhile white men often are see as kid or infatilized even waaaaaaaay to much.

I am confused. When we talk about "girls have cooties" we mean mathaforicaly "Young boys don't want interact with young girls without reason" or literally "young boys believe, that young girls generate some wierd parasites and interaction with them is dangerous"?

At least in my case, what I refer to is the meme among children that people of the opposite sex carry some manner of pathogen. It is not necessarily believed seriously but it is played along with nonetheless.

Most of it is I think due to the obsession with girl "purity" (i.e. a more polite of saying their virginity) that is ingrained in parents who then passed onto boys who want to limit contacts with girls but don't have the capacity to voice these thoughts. I was raised in a working class country and have no problem interacting with the opposite sex. It is one of the reason I figure out I am not attracted to woman pretty early in puberty.

Yeah, I've never seen it as an outright "pathogen," it's more that boys don't want to interact with girls their age. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's taught by other kids and then reinforced parentally rather than the other way around. It's sort of like the Cool S - all it takes is one older kid teaching a younger kid, and it'll have made the rounds through the rest of the grade by snack time. And the stereotypical image of parenting in response to that is "well that's not a very nice thing to say," and then dropping it.

Granted, I'm not in education or childcare and my last exposure to the American public school system was well over a decade ago, so it's hard to say if that's still how things are. But it feels like a microcosm of the sort of hands-off, not-actually-helpful "just don't do it" type of education from the 90s when I grew up.

I can't ever recall any "Girls Have Cooties" behavior back when I was a kid, actually - Not even a daycare or in kindergarten when I was really little. I was mostly exposed to it through TV, and I always thought it was a stupid concept.

Sure, in elementary school, girls mostly played with girls and boys mostly played with boys, but it was hardly a "rule of the playground" or whatnot - It mostly had to do with our preferences just happening to line up. And girls and boys had no issues playing with each other or just hanging out and talking during recess besides that. But in my case, I guess it helps that the kids at my elementary school all came from the nearby villages, so everybody knew everybody, kind of.

It definitely happened at my school around 1st to 2nd grade.

They don't care about life - For them, it's always and only about controlling women's bodies.

I know I'm gonna sound mean for saying this, but I actually can't be bothered to care about other people's medical choices, as long as they are actual choices.

Not my body, not my business, not my problem.

There was a time, as an ignorant male raised in a rather traditional and patriarchial country - in my country abortion was illegal up until 2020(!) - I was really "pro-life". And then at some point I realized several things about pro-life ideologies and people who support it:

Wait, you're not gonna help the women actually raise the children that they are compelled to give birth to? Also, aren't the women one who carry, birth, and raise the children? Shouldn't THEY have the call in this? Why are MEN getting to decide what women do with their body...?

A trivia regarding legality of abortion: freaking SOVIET UNION, of all places, was the first place to legalize abortion, in 1922. In America, Connecticut was the first state to regulate abortion in 1821.

For what it's worth, The Soviet outlawed abortion later on in 1933.

Something Conservatives would probably want you to not know is that Ben Franklin actually made drugs to cause abortion IIRC.

On the complete opposite end of the political spectrum, while obviously the Nazis were anti-abortion generally, Heinrich Himmler of all people believed in trying to address economic woes that led women to get abortions, and set up social programs to help single mothers. It was incredibly horrifying.

Some people do care about more than controlling women's bodies. A number of European countries have fairly restrictive abortion laws, but they engender fewer complaints because we actually pay for childcare, women's medicine and so on.
