You sure the actor isn't just voicing him differently?
Oh God! Natural light!I mean, considering the voice changes midway through the game and he's consistent during trials again?
Seems a bit unlikely to me.
Kodaka said he was taking a break for a year, not that he was done with the series at all.
He probably will still oversee spinoffs in the interim.

Watch SymphogearWhen did "a year" start?
Oh God! Natural light!V3 was released on January 12 that probably doesn't matter because I don't remember Kodaka ever specifying a year.
I remember him saying he wants other people to handle the franchise.
Maybe the guy who wrote Danganronpa Togami can rescue himself from the Scrappy heap?
Being honest, I can't imagine what a fourth main series game would even be about at this point. The Hope's Peak Saga from the first two games and the anime seems pretty much wrapped up, and It'd be very hard to make a direct sequel to V3 without invalidating the ending.
What he said now is the same thing he said after DR 2: He is out of ideas after releasing the game and will not write a mainline game anymore unless he gets a huge new idea that can top the previously, which most likely won't happen for a while (it took 6 years between 2 and V3). The difference is that this time he is expressing interest in playing a mainline Dangan Ronpa written by someone else.
There's always Danganronpa V8.
Wut.
Mikan Is pretty much very horny underneath her timid exterior.
Her execution reflects that.
Watch SymphogearDR 1 has my least favorite cast. I don't know why, but the characters from the other two games are more interesting to me.
It is true that the Danganronpa 1 cast isn't quite as colorful as the other two games. Some might say that that makes them more grounded, but it has the downside of many of them just don't make much of an impression (though there are exceptions).
Oh God! Natural light!I think I dislike more V3 characters than the other two game so I guess they're my least favorite of the games by default though I do get what you mean.
DR3 cast is worst cast though.

This song needs more love.Leads me to a funny thought.
Looking back on it the D1 cast is relatively more grounded than the successor cast despite it still being Danganronpa. I mean granted I haven't play it in years but looking back on it cause of course it wasn't was as insane back then.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's too bad Aoi didn't get her own spinoff thing.
Danganronpa Togami
Danganronpa Kirigiri
Ultra Despair Hagakure
Danganronpa: Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Poor Asahina.

Danganronpa Asahina: the Quest for Donuts?
Well it's better than nothing, and maybe we can finally see the 13th Branch Head!
Which of these two songs is more despair inducing, especially when take the circumstances in which they are used in Chapter 6?
Empty Happiness or Empty Truth?
Watch SymphogearEmpty Truth.
There's learning that you were the bad guy, and then there's...that (plus, V3 doesn't have the reassuring presence of Makoto and the gang - quite the opposite, really).

Oh God! Natural light!I finished the second game.
Easily far better then the original game in just about every way. I loved the characters in general a lot more (Except Hiyoko, they kinda dropped the ball with her), the gameplay felt more streamlined, the memory bullets weren't used anyway near as much during trials, and the extra RPG Elements added to the game helped it out greatly. I even prefferred Junko in this game over the original due to the confrontation feeling far more climatic.
I really don't see why a lot of people see it as a Contested Sequel.

Watch SymphogearI now this game for 4 years and never seen a single Contested Sequel claim for it. 3 and V3 have some, but 2 is overall treated as the series' Magnum Opus.
Hmm, I wonder who the strongest of the "Big guys" accross the series is?
while I'd say sakura, I think gonta has the highest overall natural strength due to his upbrining in the wild. Sakura probably edges him out due to martial arts prowness, but Gonta is even taller then she or Nekomaru are, so I'd say his natural size advantage gives him higher strenght.
then below those two is great Gozu and Nekomaru per Word of God (Not sure where Mechamaru is, though) and then Akane (Who fits the big guy archetype despite being more slender) then Mondo (Daiya is implied to be far physically stronger, though, possibly in the range of Nekomaru)

Yeah, his voices gets a bit deeper and gruffer. I know it's not for the whole game, but I don't know if it happens in the third trial or not.
