Poor Image: Laser Blade

Yep, it's the iconic scene from the iconic film... only it's blurry, desaturated, and low resolution; so I hope we can find something better.

For example, GIS turns up this alternative◊. I'm sure people will have other suggestions?

I have some suggestions but it's gonna be later tonight before I can post them.

That is much higher quality. I like it.

For some reason Luke's face and the lightsaber auras look cartoony.

It's ROTJ, I haven't seen many stills from the original version of the film where the saber effects didn't look like crap.

Here's the suggestions I have: Asohka vs. Grievous◊, Art of battle from TPM◊, Yoda vs. Palpatine◊, Luke vs. Vader in the cave◊

EDIT: Here we go. Of those suggestions, I lean toward the Asohka/Grievous pic just because it's the cleanest of all of them.

Most of the suggestions thus far have been lightsaber duels. What about just a guy posing with a lightsaber?

Like, say, this one of Qui-Gon?

How about, and I know this is a bit out there, but how about one that is not a lightsaber?

The sparks around it say Energy Weapon more than this trope.

EDIT: And I notice that trope doesn't have a picture. I vote to put that one on Energy Weapon.

I'm not going to lie - that looks really photoshopped. And more like a glow stick than a laser blade.

That one looks like those toy lightsabers somehow lol.

It's not photoshopped, it is however a game with a huge amount of unlockable silliness once you've played it through seriously. Things like laser swords or finding out you're a character in a computer game.

I like the Vader/Obiwan pic.

The Vader/Obi-wan pic is pretty good, but I still lean toward Asohka/Grievous. The Shelke pic would indeed be a good choice for Energy Weapon. The SH 3 pic, honestly, looks like one of those plastic cones you put over a flashlight to make a glow-rod, but on steroids...thumbs way down.

If we're going to be picking an image for Energy Weapon let's have a thread for that. I can think of fifty million examples offhand and they're all from Girl Genius. It deserves its own thread.
