...I...should probably have mentioned that I'm on vacation right now, and am pretty much unavailable for a couple weeks.

Well, I'm here, school's finally over and I've no obligations aside from doing chores etc (and some Army stuff), but I'm generally limbo'd.

So apparently I'm the only one willing to be GM for this RP since the current one went AWOL. So I figured I am now allowed to take it to this thread.

So it seems, yes. All hail the new GM! (Totally had nothing to do with the plot that nominated AHR into power.)

In any case, veteran players: would you mind giving a brief recap of the big events that's happened so far—specifically, what date is it in-game?

First school day,right? Monday.

Mmkay. That schedule makes not a lot of sense due to electives being able to overlap, but eh, it'll do.

So who needs npcing?

It's near breakfast's end, yes. Also, people who need NPCing are the teachers as well as CD's character.

Have you read through our character sheets, or would you like an overview of our characters real quick?

CD's character is not mine. Thus CD's characters can go and go to the big RPG world in the sky.

As for classes, I assume the students know what classes they are going to.

They have timetables, yes. So Hayley fades into the background, eh?

Unfortunately. And I have the first post up. I have the time table up as well, so I should be good when people go to classes.

@AHR: The problem is that my character sort of needs CD's character as she's the only person in on his secret...

There's also Vivian. Sort of.

deathpigeon: Then find a new secret keeper. Or ask someone else to take on an extra role. npcing as a bunch of people is tough. Believe me. It can be exhausting. And I'd rather not take on an extra responsibility like that, unless so plot relevant it hurts. Maybe later if I realize that npcing teachers are ok.

But for now? I'd like to get used to playing a bunch of personalities and keeping track of them.

We still don't know if the rp will live or not, due to how long it was down under. I suspect a bunch of the former ones who signed up forgot its existence or lost interest. After a day I'll probably pm them all nicely and see if they're still interested.

Wait there was a list of proffessors? How did I not notice that? Ah well.

...CD did realize Minerva being headmistress contradicts Canon, yes? I might have to change that, if only because it's going to bug me otherwise. She retired in the early 2000s. Oh well, what's done is done. this will just be her last year.

Looks like I need to get posting again.

I will be crafting Broom history from HP DH to present out of my own ass. Mostly because it's something JKR never really elaborated on, probably because no one wants to hear about the new superior broom model on a yearly basis from like 5 different companies. Like cars. Yeesh. So yeah, go me. If you got any requests, run them by me. For now the Dragon Fly is the hot new model, and is currently in its second iteration, and is a reboot of the Cleansweeps. Firebolt and Nimbus remain strong. Nimbus Millenium is the current Model, and the Firebolt VI is the newest Firebolt model (they come out ever 5 years or so, but unlike most companies, after their first success, Firebolts became known more for their innovation in wildly different ways, and thus even when new models came out, the old ones remained very in demand and equally expensive). The Comet brooms went out of business 5 years ago, but their last product, the Comet Red Ring is still popular for the young kids and is still produced by the Nimbus company, having completely absorbed the Comet business and stripped it of any remaining traits, except the Red Ring. Even with that, the Comet brooms are no longer a big name in Quidditch. Or even a small name.
