The anime is the Bleached Underpants version of an h-game, so normally I'd say just cut out all examples from the game on the page and call it a day. Considering the game never got an English release and most people have never heard of it, that doesn't seem too hard.

The only problem is that the anime is a bit more explicit than most Bleached Underpants works. No sex, but gratuitous fanservice and no Anime Anatomy. I'm still inclined to vote angel, but I figured we need a thread just in case.

Hm, this part worries me a bit... however, if the anime, even with all that fanservice, isn't pure pornography, then all we'd need to do is to just keep and clean.

If it's just fanservice and not porn, I'm fine with keeping the Bleached Underpants version only. Depending of course on the question: how old are the characters the fanservice is targeted at?

Reviews mention how it's for "introverted adult men" and lament how the gratuitous risqué aspects overshadow the story.

Bro, this is P5 only. Save yourself a thump and just blank your post.

On topic, I already gave this a devilhead. Raise your hand if you're surprised.

Okay, what should we do with this page? I mean, I'm still kinda leaning towards cutting it...

Did you guys actually watch that intro on You Tube? For one thing, you have to say that you're an adult to even access it. Then there are God knows how many lingering panty shots of obviously underage girls. This thing is pure, grade-A pedoshit, plain and simple. Let's make the easy decision and cut it.

Is it possible that you're watching the game's intro, Martello? I'm under the impression that the people who vouched for it want to salvage the anime; I don't think we can defend the original game.

Personally I'd cut it, but a number of people whose judgement I trust have doubts, hence my not voting yet.

As for fanservice, one major point against it is perhaps: I don't think this is targeted towards a young audience.

After watching the first episode of the anime, the fact that it includes not one but two scenes with a pre-teen boy's face on the chest of a fully nude woman has me leaning towards cutting it. While the scenes didn't imply a sexual relationship between the two, the scenes did feel like they were being played for titillation. The fact that it's officially labeled as an ecchi series and is born of a game that all the panel members agree violates the content policy doesn't help manners.

I'll watch a couple more episodes, but this is on very thin ice for me right now.

The fanservice of the little girl in the subsequent episodes cements the decision to cut this series for me. I'll be voting devil-head.

eta: My vote is the third devil-head, apparently, so I am resolving this from the queue and hollering to have this cut. Is there anything else that needs to be discussed here before we close this thread?

As it stands right now, Discar has stated that he supports restoring Popotan with examples restricted to anime, Meeble has opposed restoration, and Komodin is leaning restoration as anime-only, with page locked. I haven't seen any of it, so I obviously can't make an informed decision. Currently I don't plan on taking any petitions from anyone in either direction. I will view enough of the series to get a feel, and if I am still undecided then, we will see where to go from there.

I'm still on the fence, leaning towards the "keep, clean and lock" option. The arguments presented in the Page Restoration Thread are somewhat sound, but... eh, I'm still not cool with restoring it unlocked.

Okay, here's an update: So far, this work has been given an angelhead (probably Discar) and a devilhead (almost certainly Meeble). I'm still on the fence on what to do with it. Goodrich, care to share your thoughts on this work?

Still undecided. Halfway through. Only thoughts that I can release to the public at this time is that the art and animation look like complete crap, and I don't give half a damn what happens to the characters. Obviously none of that is relevant to my decision, though.

Hopefully should be done with watching by the end of the weekend.

Finished watching Popotan. Will decide tomorrow what to do with it. Whatever my decision is, it is likely to be final. DO NOT under any circumstances continue discussion in hopes of changing it one way or the other. I'm more sick of it than I am of Rance, which is saying something.

Other one is mine, for much the same reasons. Also, as the much-missed Catalogue noted, this isn't for younger audiences. I might have let it slide if it was, but because it isn't, there is no way in hell I can justify saying this passes our guidelines. There are other reasons as well.

Okay, with the news that it's intended for older audiences, coupled with what Meeble's stated, I'm starting to lean towards giving it a devilhead again. Are there any good reasons why I shouldn't?
