I can almost guarantee you would not get valve related items through Desura.
Also. This game is a lot of fun.

For those who don't know: Dungeon Defenders is a Tower Defense game with Diablo-like elements, currently available on Desura and Steam.
I haven't started playing it yet, though, because I'm not sure which version I want to install.
I read that the DD version on Desura isn't as updated as the DD version on Steam. Are they compatible, or would I be downloading and installing an older version separately from my Steam install? Does the Desura/DRM-free version have the Steam-related content (e.g. Portal gun and TF 2 class minis)?
