Suggestion: Multilayer Facade

I think that the last few panels from this The Order of the Stick page would look good. Or maybe some text can be removed if it's too spoilery, but I think it's OK.

I know that this image would fit better for Dramatic Unmask than this trope, but that one already has an image. Plus, it's really hard to illustrate this trope in another way.

Here is an arrangement for it that I made.

Not bad for a start.

The second panel here◊ would work. He's pulling off a mask to reveal another mask.

It's a little dark, but I like that better.

Diego pulls this one repeatedly during his arc, and when he's finally defeated the last thing he does before collapsing is reveal the "naked mask".

I can't make out what's happening in that one at all.

Yeah, it's pretty unclear. The luchadore mask in his hand is the one he was wearing last page.

I think that petrie 911's example is good, but I find it rather poor quality. Enraged Filia's is totally unclear, though. I wouldn't use that.

So I still vote for my example. I say we wait a few days for possibly more examples, then decide with a crowner.

Since I got no feedback on this for a long time, I'm putting in the OOTS one if there is no protest against it.

I like the OOTS pic best.
