There's no kind of shipping I hate more than arbitrarily pairing people up because of attractiveness. It's meaningless and ridiculous, and it gives us nonsense like Zutara. Worst of all is when this kind of relationship-writing shows up in the work itself... The superficial members of the fandom started shipping Korra with Mako simply because they were both attractive, and these people got exactly what they wanted.
