I am increasingly reminded of why I started to avoid religion threads in general.

I also thank her for being awesome of course.

She sadly can't be everywhere and her powers are limited. Even with 1000 arms, 1000 eyes, and 11 heads she cannot help the whole world all at once...

I'm really liking your Goddess and it's the first one I'd actually feel like worshipping, but every single post I made in the last page was offtopic and often needlessly aggressive, so if you want we can keep it up via PM. In the meanwhile, I'll abstain from posting because Best Of says what I want to say much better than I find myself able to say it at the moment.

I'm in a terrible mood since Friendship Is Magic ended. Oh, and, for the record I did all the thumps myself.

There isn't much more to say about her really. Save that I dislike schools based around worshiping a Bodhisatta, what Guanyin is, and treating them as your ticket out. They'll help but in the end you need to stand up on your own and get it yourself. But yes. Back to the topic.

I hate to derail my own thread, but I was honestly so lost.

I'm trying to think of something serious and relevant to say, but all I'm getting is:

'Woo, we could get rid of religion by putting up pictures of The Thinker in front of every church and mosque.'

Think of it as Keynesian economics for statue makers.

Crucifix makers need money too, though...

Clearly, we need some sort of statue arms race. Just think of the GDP!

How would racing statue arms increase the GDP? Tourism?

A statue arms race would give a huge boost to the statue-making industry - it would probably become a bubble. Then all the people involved, from logistics and raw material production to designers and sculptors and the people who make the food that they eat, the people who provide lodging, the people who make sure there's gas in the pumps, the people who produce the electricity, etc - all of them would get more work and thus more income, boosting the economy.

It took me a bit to see it.
