Just a Face and a Caption: Genius Sweet Tooth

Didn't this page use to have that Gary Larson picture that was approved by IPC discussion? Someone changed the picture into an anime pic that looks pretty much similar to the original one that was discarded for being a JAFAAC.

Yea, only Death Note fans know that L is a super genuis.

No clue who that guy is. The attire isn't really yelling, "Genius!" Maybe he has Genius Hair or Genius Eyes or Spoon-Gripping Gesture of Really Smart Badassery or some other really obscure appearance trope that I don't know about, but I am 99.7% sure that that's a bad image. Oh, and it's not potholed. At least it's on the right side of the page though.

EDIT: In fact, before the last IP thread, the image used to be an even worse picture of the same character. Amazing.

Anyway, I doubt we can use the original Gary Larson comic◊ because as far as I know it's only one panel.

L is a great example but I don't see how we can possibly find a good pic of him

I want to say Hakase from Nichijou who is a Kid Genius with one hell of a massive sweet tooth that her robot just rides her on constantly.

Yes, it's only one panel in the collection I've got.

I don't know where to start looking for a picture for this one. The current one has zero indication of L's geniusness; in that image, I read him as being a standard teenager, and stereotypes don't exactly indicate intelligence.

I can't really tell it's a lab coat rather than a white dress.

Current is bad. Previous is awesome. Previous cannot be used. Sad situation.

Anyway. That is not bad, but I'd like to see some more options.

Someone changed the image without discussion. This is unacceptable.

But all jokes aside the current image is bad but not as bad as the other picture with the same character. This seems like another case of Fan Myopia, unless you know him you don't know if he's a genius or not.

I'm with the others on restoring the previous image unless if we find something better.

If the previous pic was a Far Side cartoon, that's a double whammy (single-panel cartoon, and Larson doesn't want his work used online).

Thanks for pointing that out. Well it was better than what we have, plus it was a funny picture. Though this trope shouldn't be hard to picture, just find someone wearing a lab coat and eating something sweet.
