Most people know "it means no worries for the rest of your days" as the song says... but The Lion King was released a while ago, and the people who haven't seen it would have no idea what this trope is. This trope is explicitly about a song, and nothing in the trope name says that. I understand that a large percentage of people have seen the movie, but the name's still unclear and the trope's not thriving.

Also, the Characters/ page for the film itself just says "Hakuna Matata: Trope Namer" with no indication of what exactly the trope is. So do we need a better name for this? A generic title like Life Is Good Song could help this one more than being named after a pop culture line.

They say you have to show misuse and stuff now, and do a wick check.

Well, for starters, this is clearly not thriving (25 wicks, 17 inbounds).

Second, the title doesn't indicate that this trope is about a song specifically, not a philosophy.

Third, it's being misused for "upbeat sounding songs" in general. For example, Jungle Book's I Wanna Be Like You is an "I Want" Song, as is When We're Human. Les Miserables's Master Of The House is also clearly not a Hakuna Matata song; It Sucks To Be Me from Avenue Q is the opposite of a happy song, and Dancing Through Life from Wicked is really not an example either.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

First, redo the description to make it better. Second, Lion King is made how many years ago, and you're saying noone knows about it?

There is also the broadway show and the Lion King was shown in theaters in 3d in 2011.

I'm a little baffled as to what the age of the show has to do with whether or not it is a good name. We have trope names that reference concepts from works several thousands of years old.

OP does not contain a fully-fledged argument. Feel free to start again with a wick check or example check to prove the name is unclear.
