I've seen the anime. How different is the manga?
The anime is fairly faithful, just making minor changes to a scene or two here and there, and the last arc was anime only. It only covered the first 50 or so chapters however.

#IceBearForPresidentThere were a few anime-only episodes on top of the Gecko Ending, and I've heard some people say that the manga feels less generic than the anime, but aside from that, I agree with what said.
I've only read the manga, but it's still quite good for what it is.
There's another new chapter, if anyone cares.
Watched the entirety of the anime, which had a kickass final arc. The rooster is one of the coolest martial-arts master animals ever.
I binge-read chapters every now and then.
Who Ikuto was? Elaborate please. :3

I agree, that is one badass rooster.
I loved Ikuto's reaction when he found out who he was in the manga.
New chapter, if anyone cares.
I meant when he found out the rooster's identity.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the youkai might be Ikuto's sister.

#IceBearForPresidentI think it's safe to say that almost everyone has that sneaking suspicion.
I was actually thinking baby dragon.
Also hi.
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.Saw the anime a few years ago. It was pretty rad, but I forgot most of it. But it taught me the phrase "ZETTAI MURI!!1111"

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot."Completely impossible"? Doesn't sound like a particularly interesting phrase; it's like they're saying Beyond the Impossible, only in Japanese. Either way, still not interesting. :/
(You should read the manga though)
I never watched the anime, but I have enjoyed the manga for quite some time. The setting of the series is what I love. Airantou is a great island of adventure. So much mystery and fun along with a pretty good cast makes it enjoyable even with its rather bad fan service and the harem elements.

#IceBearForPresidentYes, but for me I don't enjoy those parts as much. Although I do like its take on the harem element. Almost the entire cast not really being in love with him at the start and only slowly falling in love over the series. That makes more sense to me since they just met and Ikuto only begins to really prove himself later on.
The fan service I've learned to ignore. Although the nose bleeds have gotten tiresome.
I simply love the setting though how the island works, the guardians, the magic, the monsters, and everything. It's just raw adventure with a harem element for otaku bait. At least that's how I see it.

A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.It does have more depth than you'd at first think.
#IceBearForPresidentYup which is why it's a good series. It does have one of my least favorite harem tropes though, Suzu is a forgone conclusion if there is ever a "winning" girl.
Man when was the last time the series had an update?
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body. It's still releasing monthly, but scanlators are being slow about it.
Y'know, I really wish this series had been released in English in some form. :/
I'd buy the manga.
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.x8 It was like a Once an Episode thing, that's why. The protag freaking out because somebody claimed that something is completely impossible, and then he would be like "NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS IMPOSSIBLE RAAAAUGGGGH!" and throw a boat 500 meters into the sea or something.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Yeah he doesn't like for there to be limits to anything.
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.A new chapter's up.
In some ways it's developing as expected, while in other ways not. Looking forward to the next chapter.
So I was reading the new chapter and realized this doesn't have a thread.
Is anyone else reading Nagasarete Airantou?
