So... Are you all still accepting image suggestions for the badges? I made a Go board with some stones and a Conway's Game of life one which I think turned out nice...
We'll be accepting badges indefinitely.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Actually, I haven't. I think it's because the forums display my name differently than everywhere else. I'm actually 32_Footsteps, not 32 Footsteps. And my contributor page is actually Thirty Two Footsteps, due to writing it way back when numbers weren't allowed to start a page name.
Unrelated, should I be able to get the Wiki Cleaner Award? The icon to put it in my cart is there (for 0.00 tropies, no less).
EDIT: Also, for the record, male.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. This is false, I'm afraid. The BBC has specifically trademarked the design of the Metropolitan Police Public Call Box, the police box on which the TARDIS is based. I know this because the successful trademarking of the image was very controversial; the Met didn't appreciate having their kiosk design ripped off like that. But yeah, it's trademarked, and the BBC could issue a cease and desist over it, at least in theory. This is probably also true of the Moogle (cat thing) and the Zelda items, btw.
Although I'd be more concerned about the chainsword, since apparently Games Workshop has been known to sue sites smaller than this one into nothing over the unauthorized use of their property.
Edit: double checked the details on the TARDIS thing - apparently the police box (not just the TARDIS) is trademarked only in the context of Who related merchandise. So you're probably in the clear on that one.

Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffWell, here they are then... The Goban one just has some random stones, while the Game of Life one has a glider, which is the smallest configuration that can move along the grid, basically. I hope they aren't too bad or obscure though ^^"
Is it possible to send an award badge to another user? I see an option for it.
Ooh I've done some of that.

Rhymes with "Protracted."I'm trying to buy badges, but when I try to go to my cart, I get a page not found error for tvtropes.biz/checkout.php Fixed now.
Also, I'd like a Herald badge, as I'm Live Action TV Herald.

Fresh-eyed movie blogAre people who help with namespacing eligible for the wiki cleaner badge?
Edit: word choice.

I thought it was a curator badge?
Nice to see Bobby back, even if it is just for a bit.
One Piece blog Beyond the LampshadeIt's 12:30 at night, I've been up all day, I really should get some sleep... sounds like perfect badge caption suggestion time. Hey, it's proven popular so far. Working off of the ones in @1286:
- Exclamation: Attention, please!
- Lightning warning: Don't upset a Game Master in this spot.
- Explosion warning: Fire in the hole!
- Radiation warning: Does not actually give super powers.
- Radio signal: Works much better than a metal plate in your head.
- Laser warning: Also, beware of popcorn popped by lasers.
- Foot protection warning: We prefer to avoid the Agony of the Feet.
- Goggle warning: We prefer that you keep your eyes.
- Goggle warning 2: If we wanted to see eye trauma, we'd watch Le Chien andalou.
- Bare head warning: Note: Your head will not actually deflect arrows.
- Hard hat warning: Maybe not as nice as other hats, but much more functional.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Goggle warning chemistry lab edition: Better dorky-looking than blind.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Thank you for the badge, Shima! :D
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAlso, a badge with a cup 50% filled with water would be interesting, I think. Optimists and pessimists would then be able to say it's either half empty or half full.
An optimist thinks the glass is half full. A pessimist thinks the glass is half empty. An engineer knows the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. And an empty glass for the opportunist who drank it while the others were philosophizing.
And a scientist knows that it is full of air and water.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThe solipsist knows it doesn't matter. :P
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAnd the psychologist merely asks how the glass feels about the water.
The effects artist just plucks a guitar string above it.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThere could be an award badge for Analysis for people who write Analysis pages, since we were talking in that other thread about how to encourage people to do that.
Rhymes with "Protracted."My badge choices came very close to accidentally resembling Eddie's. At first glance, the Indy Fedora would look like the YKTTW hat. But then I found the speak geek badge.
Fresh-eyed movie blog@1335: I mean the badge that looks like a medal and has "cleaner" written on the side.
An economist says "Let's assume the cup is completely full-"
Sent a Herald badge to TParadox.
