Kinda ruins the flow don't you think?
Ok, how about "one nation under the first deity to unambiguously demonstrate his or her existence"
One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all*. *including atheists

No what about the next one? If Jesus came down and then Thor it wouldn't work.
Seriously though, "One Nation, Indivisible" works.

The point was it would be a race. First god to show themselves gets a nation. That ought to motivate the lazy buggers.
Guess I'll have to get working then.
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodAt this point I'm having more problems with the "indivisible" part of the pledge than the "under God." The only thing that can destroy America at this point is the American people. And they'll do it because they think other Americans aren't being American enough.
But that's a story for another time.I have an issue with "liberty and justice for all". Since we don't have it and never have.
I think the point of that part is that it's what Americans should strive for.
Too bad we're not doing much of that either.
But that's a story for another time. One: we have a thread for this.
Two: The country's motto is E Pluribus Unum: Out of Many, One. I still say that "one country, out of many, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" is the best take on it I've heard.
Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this.Correction: the US's motto used to be "E Pluribus Unum". It was replaced in the last century by "One Nation Under God" during a fit of religious fervor. Nobody bothered to take the old motto off the currency, though.
Smile for me!The motto of the USA is "In God We Trust", which first appeared on coins in 1864 and was adopted in 1956 by Eisenhower. A variation of the phrase as a motto appears in the Star Spangled Banner, written in 1814: "And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.'" E Pluribus Unum is, and has been since 1782, the motto of the seal of the USA, which is why it appears on currency today.
"Under God" was inserted into the pledge of allegiance in '54, changing "one nation indivisible", to "one nation under God, indivisible."

Schild und Schwert der ParteiWe regret that our previous correction of inaccuracy was itself inaccurate. It has subsequently been emended by a third party; we apologize for the inconvenience while the emendation was being emended.
Smile for me!- amended
I'm afraid not. "Emend" means to improve a text by critical editing. "Amend" simply means to alter something for the better. Two distinct words.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiTo recap, my apologetic statement on the topic of my previous correction's meta-correction received a correction, which was then promptly corrected itself.
Yay!
Smile for me!Weirdly, I have never seen that word in any context whatsover.
My President is Funny Valentine.
Well played Mr. Morg, well played indeed.
It was an honor*takes a bow* I'll be here all week.
Are their some denominations of Christianity which allow same sex marriage in the Churches?
I can't think of any specific denomination, but there are some individual churches that do.
I mean a denomination where the majority of Churches let gay couples marry.
Ok, how about "a nation under zero or more gods"
