The current image on Godiva Hair is possibly not work-safe, given that it is a picture of a nude lady.

However, it does illustrate the trope without being unreasonably revealing, and it would be uncouth to ax it without any discussion, especially if it's only borderline-NSFW.

Does anybody have any ideas for a better image, or thoughts on whether we should remove the current picture or not?

Also: NSFW how? Does not look remotely like porn, would not scandalize anyone's grandmother I don't think. Are all pictures of women disallowed because they are naked under their clothes? What about Sexy Back? This is a censorship trope...

Yeah no way this is NSFW... This is actually far more conservative than I was expecting based on my exp with the trope.

Supermarket mags are far far far worse, album covers use this etc.

Oh, okay.

Does anybody have an idea for a higher-quality image, then? The one we have is kind of dull.

Quoting Best Of, who put it as it pretty much is:

The picture in that article was something that you could see in an ad for hair products in any public place. If I saw that picture tomorrow at the bus stop, it wouldn't really stand out.

Heck, you see half that hair on the time slot of telenovelas around here, and that's when kids just got back from school.

I don't think this one is a problem. Like Best Of said in Wiki Talk, it's the kind of thing you could stick on an advertising billboard and not expect to receive any complaints.

Considering that there was a previous thread where this was picked as the best (and presumably safest) option and that almost everyone seems to agree that this one is OK, I think this thread can be locked.

Don't see the problem with it. All the relevant bits are covered. Agree with the lock.
