This anime is stupid. What sort of 10 year old street rat is unfamiliar with the very concepts of "death", "hope", or "crying"?

I found that unusual as well, but is it really worth bitching about? The episode would lose no impact if he knew what they were. Some dialogue would need to be altered slightly, but that's it.

It's because He's not even a real human, he was created out of matter without any sort of cloning.
They rushed through it in the anime. The manga is more indepth on it.
Watch Symphogear
For an anime-only watcher, it was a sort of okay introduction to Zetman.
For a manga-follower like me, however, oh boy, did they breeze through stuff at lightning speed. Episode 1 basically went through chapters 1-12, and it looks like Episode 2 will deal with the fire and its aftermath (Chapters 13-25).
Leader of the Holey Brotherhood
Yeah, I went through the manga chapters I'd missed in order to get ready. I was surprised at how much they did in one episode. Admittedly Zetman is a slow moving manga (took a while before we actually saw Zet), but really, twelve chapters in one ep. That's ridiculous. Then again, 13 episode series.
I hope they slow down a bit. The manga is still on going, and if they do shit like this with every ep, they might actually catch up to it.
Weird opening theme. I was expecting something more... I dunno, sinister.

Really? Wow. As someone with zero familiarity with the manga, it didn't feel rushed at all to me.
I'm getting bad FMA: Brotherhood flashbacks, or at least the first fifteen-odd episodes. I'm not really sure why they're rushing through the material, but I'm guessing that they want to get to the Amagi building arc ASAP.
As a non-reader you won't notice it that much, actually. The pacing is still kind of fast though, but you won't KNOW how fast it really is.
