The description for Named Like My Name is rather short, but judged by the examples on the page, there are three different things listed here.

First, a character in a work has an ordinary name, and then a similarly-named character in the same work becomes famous, which affects the life of the former. This is a plot trope, and it is what the trope's description indicates.

Second, a character in a work has a name that is identical to that of a (real or fictional) celebrity, and this is played for laughts. This is also a plot trope, but it doesn't match the trope description.

Third, somebody (real or fictional) happens to have the same name as a real life celebrity. This is not a trope, but trivia.

I think this trope needs work. (A) the description needs expanding. (B) we need to decide whether or not this is triva. And (C) the real life examples possibly need to be removed.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

There is already Names The Same, which has a Real vs Fictional subpage.

First off, this should be limited to in-universe examples. That can overlap with the above (like the Office Space example). As long as it affects the similarly named character it counts, I'd say.

I also don't see much of a difference between the first and second variants. The only thing that differs them is the extent the life of the person is affected. On the other hand, there needs to be an actual effect of it, and not just, "oh, you've got that name too."
