Ahhhhh spoiler that! Like it needs spoiler-ing, but ya never know.
So, I've just watched the episode (ep 37). And I'm all smiles~
Sure, I knew what I was gonna see. I could even imagine the reactions, the faces, the dialogue. Everything was as expected, and still this was one of the best episodes in the entire series. Because this is what the series was about, this is what it was building up to— Mutta's an astronaut, and it's hard not to get swept away by the emotion. Not when Mutta has that look on his face, that familiar expression of unbelieving and happy and tearful and so on.
The way the episode was presented worked wonders. You had the band aid, the little pink bicycle, Hoshika's identity, and the personal delivery of the news. It all tied in neatly at the end, and greatly increases the impact of the "reveal".
Side note: Mizoguchi (a.k.a. the jerk back in Team B) gets some character development, for the better.
Episode 39:
- New OP and ED! I like them a lot, definitely prefer them over the previous ones.
- Serika's adorkability might be at par with Mutta's... Hope she got that cherry blossom petal she wanted.
- Nasuda gave one hell of a motivational speech. And is similarly adorkable.
- Hot-blooded Mutta ftw
- Mmmmm... fried silkworms...
- Brian ;_; You will live on as an oxygen generator.
- Woah... close call there Damian, Hibito.
- Oh dammit they went over the edge. Were they not taught to look where you drive? >_< Cliffhanger (involving an actual cliff!) you pain me so.
- Ah, boring lectures. My mortal enemy.
- The next episode preview is rather profound. - strokes sagely metaphorical beard -
Episode 40: ... Oh, Crap!.
Gibson is found!
Episode 41: Eddie Jay. :( This show has me on tenterhooks.
Episode 42: "There's something I've always wanted to try... Taking a walk on the moon by myself." ;_; There's also a Brian Jay figurine on the moon!
The title of the next episode: "Brian"
They won't kill Hibito, will they? I am honestly worried.

Episode 43: Two sentences that describe the tone of this tense episode:
- "Want me [Brian] to help you?". This one is brilliant in context.
- " I don't want him to stare at a monitor as his brother slowly runs out of oxygen."
Is 45 will be the last ? its seems sad it ending without mutta become astronaut. how far the manga in Japan already ?
no, its gonna keep going for a while. ANN reported that due to good ratings, it will be moved to a Saturday time slot starting in the spring
oh sweet. I'm glad it continuing. It consistently remains so good
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.Oh very nice news.
seriously, it's just a show so good it's hard to foster a good ongoing discussion here. Glad it isn't stopping
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.Ah, Thank You. thats very good news
Episode 44: One of the best parts of this show, in my opinion, was exemplified in this episode: its ability to maintain an emotional high in the "descending slope", the parts after the climax. The relief of the people at Hibito's survival is something that warms the heart.
I'm up to episode 7 and it's getting better and better.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Glad to see you're enjoying it!
Episode 45: Not so much funny as it is adorable.
- Kaneko-san's dorky proposal to Sharon. Which ties in really nicely with the lunar telescope and Mutta going to the moon.
- The dorky Nanba parents
- The dorky "Yes!" Serika gave when she was assigned the Pink Ranger
- The dorky grins everyone had when they got their jumpsuits. INCLUDING NITTA.
- Next episode: an instructor who looks like he'll be fun at parties! /sarcasm
I'll be posting here more once I've caught up. I have spoilers on but I don't want to be spoiled for this show.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Sounds good. You'll enjoy every moment of catching up.
Nitta's grin and Serika's "Yes" was the highlight of the ep.
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.Episode 30 is beautiful.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines. It's the complete silence of the last bit isn't it.
I was like wooaaah at that part
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.I'm not sure what exactly. All I can remember is that I wanted to shout for absolute joy at the end of episode 30.
31 is (very) good as well, but somehow - it didn't have (that) impact at the end of episode 30.
Episode 33 - tearjerker + tears leaking from eyes due to laughing too much

Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Episode 46:
- Mu's adorkability at full force.
- There's a reason they call Vincent Bold the number one restless man.
- And some more scenes for Serika and Kitamura. Gotta say, using shiritori to name your children is actually an interesting idea...

Episode 37 = D'aaawwwww!
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.
Episode 36: This one's about Serika, and as expected, there's a tone of sadness prevalent throughout the episode. "I'll have to hang on until then..."
I think it's worth noting that in contrast to Kenji's episode last week, Serika's episode focuses on the events after she gets the phone call. It was in interesting way to go about it.
Next episode: we'll hear someone be told that they failed. And Mu will seemingly hear about the results from Hoshika, face-to-face.
