Man, the premise of the next Naruto episode pisses me off, I'm out. It's literally Naruto's classmates sending him on a goose chase to get rid of him permanently. What the fuck?

Filler man, what can I say. They never try with this shit.

Though fuck is it inconsistent as Hell. We just got back to a canon episode last week but now more filler.

God the Naruto anime is fucking terrible.

Are we now entering Filler Hell?

Welp, this clip will never fail to express my sentiments on the matter.

It's so jarring going from "Naruto saves the Hidden Leaf Village and is accepted as a hero" to "Naruto gets treated like crap in flashback filler."

FUCK. THESE. VILLAGERS.

And of course we get another whole-episode flashback as filler. God, this is the worst anime adaptation of any series. I'm so glad they don't make anime this way anymore.

Forgot this tonight, tired. But I can say next time on Lupin, Lupin decides he's in need of a vacation. He just wants a lazy day with his friends as they have a road trip. But one thing leads to another and, well, you know Lupin...

Aside from the hushed comments, the Not-So-Happy Mask Salesman pushes him away from the merch and just tosses a mask at Naruto, all so that he can sod off.

I mean, it's a free mask and all, but still. Guy was a dick.

Well, when you're resenting someone for nothing more than guilt by association, it's easy to be blind to the consequences of your actions. Logic means nothing to these people when they're weighed down by such strong and pervasively negative emotions.

The worst thing about these douchebag villagers is knowing that if he had turned against the Leaf and ended up like Gaara, they still would have learned the completely wrong lesson. Instead of realizing, "Oh, maybe we shouldn't have abused a child," they would have concluded, "See? We were right to distrust him."

I honestly thought the episode was over for a split second, but we're only halfway through this...episode.

How about the fact that Naruto is the son of the late Hokage & the fox was put into him per his wishes?

How fucking disappointing these villagers are even if they don't know.

The one silver lining, if you can even call it that, is how Naruto's awful childhood really helped make the Naruto vs. Gaara fight in Part I so poignant; Naruto was by no means exaggerating his hardships when he reflected on how they similar they were and how he could've ended up just like Gaara.

This makes it sad Naruto never met the other Jinchuriki aside from Bee.

They really were a wasted concept.
