Goodnight everyone.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Super, maybe? Though that's probably just wishful thinking.
It's actually becoming INCREASINGLY likely that we'll get Super on Toonami next year.
Yes, this arc in Kai is pretty much over, but we still have 2 or three episodes of it left to wrap everything up. After that is the Buu Saga, which was dubbed, but which Toonami likely doesn't have the rights to air yet. So it will be ..... puzzling as to how Toonami will fill taht first timeslot. Also, we only have 1 more episode of GUNDAM IBO!
Dragon Ball Super premieres at 8:00 PM and 11:30 PM on January 7th.
I think this clip from the abridged series sums up my reaction accurately.
EDIT: To almost everyone's surprise, the last arc of Dragon Ball Kai (The Final Chapters) is taking the midnight slot on the same day! Funi dubbed this a while back but there was NO official announcement until now.

We get back the 11:30 PM slot!
Also, Toonami will air the final part of Kai as well!
Dragon Ball Super: 8pm
Dragon Ball Super (re-air): 11:30pm
Dragon Ball Z Buu Saga Kai: 12am

Wow, I wasn't expecting both to be on Toonami simultaneously.
That's not all.
The debut of Attack oN Titan Season 2 will be coming to Toonami in April! ... this seems to be skipping some announcements - I wasn't aware Funimation even had it, nor any idea of where in production the season was!!
I still haven't finished season 1 because the internet wouldn't shut up about how bad it supposedly was and made me lose interest. Because people can't just fucking enjoy things anymore.
Of course this still begs the question of where that Mob Psycho 100 dub is, after Funimation still won't answer. It only says TBA on their schedule, and we all thought it was because they were saving it for a Toonami announcement.

WHAT?! The premiere date was just announced in Japan, so where...*checks* Toonami's Facebook did not list AoT s2, so we're probably waiting a few more months for that potential simuldub.

It hasn't been confirmed. The April date is just when the season is finally premiering in Japan. Given how Funimation has handled dubs recently however, I would expect it to start commencing dubbing a month or so afterward.
I'm curious though, is Toonami now officially 4 hours or will it be losing it's rerun slot?

They'll probably let One Punch Man finish its second run, but after that who knows.
You're just in time. Bayble Cuber's going to watch an inkle dribble adventure from days of old on my holo-pyramid viewer.Wonder when Sword Art Online Season 3 is going to premiere.
A new Dragon Ball series is coming to Toonami. I never thought this day would come.
I guess we at least got that much out of this clown car orgy of a year.
