He's annoying, that's it.

... I see. Seems like something recurring in Omniverse's comic relieves.

That the continuity is terrible and they keep coming up with bs reasons to justify the plot holes and changes? Quite honestly this reasoning is basically them saying they're not good enough writers to justify and work on their changes.

Well, I meant that the comic relieves are too numerous and annoying, but yeah, that too.

No one talks about the comics.

I think Theokal meant to say "Comic Relief" plural when describing the majority of the side characters in Omniverse.

Yeah the comedy is terrible too.

I actually like Rad Dudesman, though I'll admit he's a lot better when they're not throwing the joke at us every few minutes. I liked his second appearance.

[up][up]Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry, my english isn't perfect.

[up]Well, I will admit he is not as annoying as, let's say, Pax or Blucik and Driba, but I still feel mad about him in that the writers wasted a great occasion to make a cool character for the sake of a duck joke. Wouldn't it have been cooler if Rad was something like, I don't know, cyborg Cannonbolt? Or a one-eyed Kineceleran?

^ I don't personally think go. In fact, I probably would've found something like that a lot more boring than what we got with him, because playing his hype straight would've resulted in something really generic. Being a seemingly unassuming duck is what made him interesting in the first place.

I really don't see how that makes him interesting; at best it makes him one silly joke that works only the first time he shows up and then has no point in being there. And even if they wanted to go for that joke they could have used an actual alien species from the setting that was funny, such as.... well, not a galvan obviously, but what about a guy from Ditto's species? Or from Jury Rigg's species?

Honestly Omniverse has a severe lack of really badass supporting characters, Rook aside; most are just comic reliefs, and not very good ones.

Should have been something that wasn't a generic. Perfect opportunity to have a new alien species, but also have him look unopposing only to surprise us with his amazing ability.

I wouldnt call him one of the best characters but I do enjoy that Fistrick is so different from other human villains. Most guys like Billy or Animo dont really interact with aliens, and Forever Knights want to destroy them. Fistrick might be the only one that talks to aliens, works with them, uses alien tech.

True, but at the same time that's also his problem. I mean, I was fine with him in his first episode, but I facepalmed in "Bro In Space" when he was revealed to be behind the Muroids, because he really was the last villain I would expect to see on another planet. I really don't buy that he could get a ship and go to space just because he "knew a guy". An alien villain, or even a new villain, would have made much more sense.

News time people. They're burning off episodes.

Starting with next Monday there will be new Ben 10 everyday except for weekends, get this - at 06:00 AM. They should finish airing seasons 6 and 7 by 31th October. No idea what about season 8 that allegedly exists. (Apparently one of episodes is final to "Charmcaster trilogy" so its slightly important)

Facts: -CN hates action shows right now. -Ben 10 shows live about 2 years. Sneak episode aside, Omniverse started September 22 2012 - Omniverse is the only Ben 10 series that didnt get a movie or special.

Sadly since its more that a year before we get to December 27 2015, there is a chance Ben 10 will not reach it 10th anniversary and become a long runner.

Thoughts? Might the mighty Ben 10 franchise be drawing its final breath?

I think they should either let it go permanently or give it a rest before making another show.

This reminds me of what they did with Generator Rex, so Ben 10 is probably died.

That's a bit surprising. I always figured what kept Ben 10 going on CN's radar was the fact that it was an action figure goldmine.

Are Steven Universe and Adventure Time the only other original ongoing action shows on CN?

I think so, but Adventure Time gets a pass from them for essentially printing money (and being more comedic than most). The cynic in me keeps thinking that Steven Universe is next on CN's chopping block, in part because it's less 100% comedy and also because it can't be pointed to as a "boys' or girls' show" - and CN (like most networks these days) has problems accepting shows that don't fit stereotypical gender demographics.

I was more surprised that Omniverse is on the chopping block first and not Steven Universe.

[up] Steven Universe is actually doing exceedingly well. The second season is going to have a shit ton of episodes. On the topic of the Ben 10 franchise... I'll be sorely dissapointed if Omniverse is the last installment. While I don't despise Omniverse I feel that, minus the inclusion of Rook, this show has been the weakest installment.

Alteratively Omniverse itself might be on the chopping block but maybe only so they can rework the show again. While I don't know the ratings statistics my knowledge is that the Vocal Minority have been obnoxiously loud over their distaste for this installment.
