What does CN have against action shows?
Comedy shows are less risky to develop and cheaper to make, basically.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. They can recycle scripts easier, I guess.
And since it's for children, they don't really have to try with that, either.
I am honestly not interested in yet another comedy reboot, personally. But that's just me.
Okay, I'm feeling a little bit better about Stinkfly's redesign now that I actually know how it works.
Hmm, by the looks of things Cannonbolt seems to be less stumpy if that trailer is any indication. I mean, it's not a dealbreaker, obviously (that would just be petty), but it's just something I noticed.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Aaaaand now I am wondering why they are even still calling him Stinkfly considering he now has very little to do with his original version.
Still aside from that this doesn't look horrible, at least.
Same reason Max Steel 2013 shares name with Max Steel 2000? And yes, animation looks quite nice.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
There was a Max Steel show back in 2000? I always assumed that Disney XD show I never cared for was an original idea instead of a reboot to an already existing show. Man, this is the second time I learned something was a reboot (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe).
And I was amazed to learn Max Steele even had a reboot (saw some episodes of the old show without being a huge fan).
True, but this is Ben 10 we are talking about. The franchise has quite a huge fanbase and is still recent....
It's alien bug that flies and shoots goo that Ben can turn into. There were many adaptations that called characters by old names for worse reasons (some MCU characters count like Youndu). In fact, Ben's recentness and popularity is a good reason to call characters by popular and marketable names.
Fair enough...
But speaking of designs, did anyone compared Original Wildvine to Omniverse one? He lost all the "wrinkles", his eye became flatter instead of freakishly bulging out, he got manly jaw, more natural voice, nicer teeth and what I can only describe as deep v-neck
Wildvine got Fanservice Pack.
Actually I noticed, and that was something I didn't like about his redesign. I know, said like that it sounds like nitpicking, but one of the things that made the charm of the Original Series aliens was how they were weird and you know, alien-looking. By removing these small details to make Wildvine more human-like and more like a good guy because Beauty Equals Goodness or something like that, you kinda remove that charm. Of course, this was far from the show's biggest issue...
My obligatory response!
Straight laced bland garbage designs. Sigh. Oh how I missed the Original Show and Alien Force designs.
I'll never forgive them for what they did to my boy Big Chill.
don't you think it's a bit soon to hate on it like this?
Uum no. You can clearly see the designs.
Yeah, but judging a show by its design is very prejudicious. This is the kind of reasonning that caused fans to hate AF before it even was up. I admit I wasn't thrilled by Omniverse's design to say the least (well, okay, I was horrified; seriously, I still don't get why some fans defend it), but I still waited until the show actually was up and had a few episodes to make my judgement.
Honestly, these designs are nowhere near as bad as Omniverse, so yeah, it's not that bad... yet. Plus we haven't really seen them in action. Gwen's design in AF look pretty terrible on promotional pictures (at least I feel so), but worked a bit better for me when actually seen in action.
When I first saw Spectacular Spider-Man designs I also didn't like them. My opinion about them now is much higher.
But to not revive threat just for an argument, I had a thought...You guys remember Charles Zenith? Green, oddly powerful, motivated by need to feed from unusual source, hammy and over dramatic as hell, highly lacking in morality yet not seeing himself as the bad guy, seeing Ben as wonderful opportunity to satisfy his craving, now why does all that sounds so familiar?
And then I realized that if writers had any self-awareness, they would make draw parallels between Charles Zenith and Skurd the Slimebiote.
... actually, that would have made for an interesting parallel.
My point was about the design. When did I mention anything else in the show?
I think he assumed that you were throwing out the baby with the bath water over the designs of the show. (And "My obligatory response" was somewhat vague.)
I think it's understandable for people to not be a fan of some of these new designs. I don't really care for Wildvine's re-design myself.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Interesting details◊ from Duncan Rouleau of Man of Action. Apparently, Kevin and Charmcaster were intended to make Heel Face Turns from the start, and that wasn't just a product of the later writers.
I hope in the new reboot that Man of Action can get it right, since Charmcaster had two Heel–Face Turn arcs halted before they could get to the point (first due to Dwayne McDuffie's death and then due to the Lucky Girl spin-off not getting off the ground), and Kevin had a ridiculously fast and unbelievable Heel–Face Turn that had to be justified after the fact by laughably convoluted retcons twice (Energy makes him crazy because alien DNA! No wait, he was actually brainwashed by a Black Ops group!)
I can belive charmacaster since in the original she was just another villian under Hex, but Kevin? the guy was complete psycho in all his aparence, I can see why but....jeez
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
it has been confirmed that this will be more of a comedy, 10 minute episodes and everything.
