Contrasting Gundam/Zeta Gundam to Seed/Seed Destiny

Well, yeah — like I said, once the extremists start hijacking both sides (which is when the Three Ships Alliance comes into play), you've dropped down into the level of cartoon supervillainy. But before that, when it's Coordinators-want-a-homeland vs Naturals-want-their-space-stations-back, it's pretty grey.

I don't care if Reccoa had gotten down on all fours and said "I live only to feel your penis inside me, Master Scirocco." - she's still less sexist, offensive and annoying than Destiny Cagalli.

I don't believe in "Sues." It's a stupid, made-up term. I've seen plenty of people call lacus a Mary Sue or a Purity Sue but I don't need either of those thing.s The fact is, she's just a bad character, plain and simple. She is flawless, she performs thing that stretch and break suspension of disbelief, she is right about everything and everything - she is the most sickening female I've seen in a Gundam series. And that includes Nina Purpleton.

See, this is why accusations of Author Avatar are rampant.

Thus far the only person making Author Avatar accusations on this site is you. More to the point so what? Whether a character is an author avatar or not has nothing to do with the quality of the series. I don't like Twilight but it isn't because the main character is an avatar for the writer, it's because they are shallow books with a misogynistic message.

Criticise all you want. But stop yelling "Author Avatar" or "Sue". It isn't an argument.

Suffice it to say I completely disagree with you on that and think she's a great character. And if being right about everything makes her "the most sickening female you've seen in Gundam" then you must love Reccoa, because she's couldn't locate "right" with a compass and a map.

Given a choice between the female casts of most of the UC shows (ZZ excepted) and the female cast of the two CE shows, I'll take the CE shows. They have competent women in multiple roles who don't exist to reinforce pre-existing gender roles, or bash the concept of femininity (remember, Emma's a great Action Girl but we're told in-show that this is because she's given up her femininity). And that's without even mentioning the horrid gender politics of Victory or AGE (which, factoring for time period, manages to be worse than all the UC shows put together in this regard).

EDIT: Oh I see you did say Reccoa was better than Cagali in terms of sexism. The heck? I can see liking the character more for whatever reason, but hell no. Cagali takes back her agency from Yuna after he tries to strip it away. Reccoa is always somebody's puppet.

Now is: Extended > Cyber Newtypes. I finished the pase 30 ....¡¡¡¡AUEL!!!, i miss you friend....
I like how the extended are crazy but they love each other. Stellar is the most obvious but Sting and Auel too. Also i love how Neo (Obviously Mu) care about the three, unlike the EVULZ Titans. (Really, when Neo command to erase their memories of Stellar and when he promised to avenge she was a reallly sad moment. EVEN if Stellar is live. Good Job Fukuda)
