When it comes to Beerus power I'm pretty sure that when Goku and Vegeta aren't looking Beerus gets some serious work done on the treadmill.

I just wanna see Black Frieza fight Beerus at one point.

Like, it's pretty weird to me that he wouldn't at one point try to kill Beerus.

Huh. Seems Androids 13,14 and 15 do exist. Wonder how they actually look like.

In the manga its weirder

like its Implied Beerus is the "strongest" of the gods of destruction or atleast of the universes fighting in the To P since pretty much everybody guns for him in the Manga only free for all and He pretty much fends them all off -a prelude of everybody gunning for universe 7-

So yeah Jiren might be as strong as a god of destruction but that like everything varies

i think the idea is like Frieza Beerus has no motivation to get better but with actually upstarts, He is training when the boys ain't looking

so yeah he is a moving goalpost

I always liked the theory that #13 is based on Gero when he was younger

Its a shame Tao never teamed up with Gero... Him being one of the Cyborgs would have made the RR revenge make more sense

Ngl I really wouldn't mind Gero coming back for round 2. He wasn't a great bad guy to hold a saga before. But the supplementary material has made him pretty interesting. And he's arguably along with Frieza responsible for most events in the series

And that's why we need to fully canonize Android 21!

Doubt it. The teaser showed Babidi and Dabura so I assume the series will either be about buu or the demon realm. Maybe the former he's the only z villain who hasn't had a new appearance proper as Big Bad ij the super era.

This talk about the Androids gave an idea for a new movie: "Dragon Ball Super: Unholy Matrimony" (better name pending).

Basically it would be a movie that canonizes a version of Android 21, while also merging ideas from Super 17, with Gero in hell creating a Super Android; but instead of being supposed to merge with 17, Gero himself merges with him, becoming Super 20, Who looks like he did in his youth to match Android 21 also being young looking (and would look similar to Android 13). Basically a movie with a villain couple (and Android 16 as their son).

You can even further the couple theme, and have the movie be set in a Valentine's day equivalent or during a couplse event, which includes Goku (who is there for the food and because he promised doing someting together for once) and Chi-Chi, Gohan and Videl, 18 and Krillin, and 17 and his wife (who is finally shown). Could also have Vegeta and Bulma, but thinking about this idea lead to another which creates a different scenario where they are doing something else.

I'm still in the camp that Android 21 is a copy of Dr. Gero's wife rather than her actually being Vomi converted to Android 21.

But yeah, I'd be down for her being in the anime or being canon. Honestly, I just pretend the Frieza storyline is what happened in Super off-camera.

So I saw a figure of Cell Max at a store, and damn, I had the chance to admire the design, and I like it the more I see it.

They look like how they do in the movie...because that specific note only exists to promote the movie.

One wonders why Gero designed the androids he did. Why a clown? Why a purple zoot suit dwarf? Why a guy in a trucker hat?

While the Pride Troopers have at least two members that rival the gods, the Pride Troopers also have stranger powers and probably rely on something other than ki to pull off their attacks.

I don't know if that's true. There is some weirdness with other universe fighters, but I don't think that includes the Pride Troopers. The weirdness I'm thinking of is that the Trio of Danger from Universe 9 can't be ki sensed, and the Maiden Squadron from Universe 2 use Love as an alternate energy source instead of Ki.

Salad Saiyan made a video discussing if Beerus' power really is inconsistent. He has an amusing theory in it that the reason why Beerus' power appears to increase is because he takes naps for so long when we first see him he still hasn't fully got up and needs time to get back to full strength

I like the idea that the reason Beerus sleeps so much is because he's so powerful he needs these big naps to properly maintain said power. He's an alien cat, sleeping a lot could be mean more in-universe than him being lazy

So I'm sure this has been answered before, but how come Dr. Gero is weaker than 17, 18, and Cell?

Why wouldn't he at least give himself the unlimited energy generator?

17 and 18 can fight forever, but they can't get stronger without actual training. Gero and 19, theoretically, could get infinitely stronger as long as they keep absorbing energy. That's my theory, anyway.

Well all you need to do to defeat Android 18 and 17 is to hit them really really hard as Trunks demonstrates.

So that infinite energy does have limits. But you'd think Dr. Gero would give himself that.

Toriyama likes his duos to contrast

Gero is a gaunt darker skinned old man so 19 is pale white chubby and has a child’s face and voice

My theory is that Doctor Gero based the androids designs on people he has met. Such as Android Thirteen is based on a trucker Gero met.

13 being a young Gero has always felt compelling to me, as there is resemblance, plus 13 is meant to be one of his masterpieces.

Still, bit of overthinking.

I like to think that if the plot hadn’t been jostled so often by editors and former editors, the original plan would have been similar to what Toriyama ended up using for Cell

The big villain, 20, would be weaker than the heroes due to their preparation but would lay low and eat/absorb several cities worth of people to get stronger. Not sure what else would be done with Gero. In this version, he wouldn’t want much more than to kill Goku a lot.

There’s no 17 or 18 for him to hunt down. No grander goals I can think of.

I assume Gohan would still save the day and Goku would still have the take-away that he himself is the reason shit keeps happening to Earth

That’s why it was a better move by the editor to change things so Cell was the main villain. With the way things were going, Dr. Gero couldn’t carry a saga.
