Thb, I think this arc is already over. This chapter read a lot like a conclusion of the current story (these past couple basically being an additional epilogue to Super Hero). It’s probably why they felt comfortable hiatusing here: this was the end of the last story Toriyama

So if they ever want to make GT canon to the main timeline, they need to:
- Have Frieza die again (otherwise all scenes of him in hell would be illogical)
- Explain why the Pilaf Gang would want to take over the world when Super already has them long give up that goal (plus Mai being in a relationship with Trunks and the gang being scared shit of Beerus (Imagine if Beerus finds out what they did to Goku. It won't end well))
- Have a reason why Vegeta cannot keep up with Goku despite Ultra Ego being around Ultra Instinct level.
- Need a reason why Beerus and Whis would be absent for all key scenes in GT (and if Zeno finds out Beerus did nothing to stop the escapees from Hell...)
Alternatively, they have to rewrite the premise of Dragon Ball GT.

The quick and dirty option is mass mindwipe or undoing the events of Super via the Super Dragon Balls.
I don't think either option would be particularly popular.

I'm sorry Tien, but I must go all out.
The story portrayal of Ultra Ego is that it's better than Ultra Instinct, worse than True Ultra Instinct.
UE Vegeta and UI Goku fought Gas together and Vegeta was all "my Ultra Ego can grow stronger when I take damage, while your Ultra Instinct is stuck at the same Power Level, I'm gonna fight Gas alone because I've taken enough damage to fight him solo now, you go off and meditate on finding a better form of Ultra Instinct" and then Goku does and it's True Ultra Instinct, which is stronger than UI.
Now, that's what the story WANTS you to think, which is completely different from what you might actually take away from UE's screentime, which is entirely Vegeta getting beaten up, getting stronger, getting beat up more, and then passing out right when it seems like he's strong enough to win the fight. Both times, the exact same pattern.

So Vegeta specifically needs stamina training then.
Although I'm really not a fan of the whole waffling on what the right way to use Ultra Instinct is.

Saudi Arabia about to actually achieving my childhood dream… and here I have to wait for America to stop sitting on its Dragon Balls.
I’m with Known, this chapter marked the end of not just a story arc, but an era of DB history. They could animate Moro/Granolah, but then that’s it. The time frame of Super is over. No more waffling over whether the chronology can go past end of Z. Either have the chutzpah to do it, or show us some Awkward Gohan Applies for Orange Star High School action.

I think I've mentioned this before, but because the Buu Saga was the one I watched the most of as a kid, I always picture Vegeta in that outfit as being his "real" one. It always feels weird watching him dressed in his Saiyan armor.
