Trunks should only ever be on the defensive...him not attacking 18 was his first step to becoming a better fighter. He doesn't have war flashbacks towards the androids anymore, so it should've been a delayed reaction.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The preview seems to imply Vegeta will be training Trunks.
Knew it.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!If we get a slimy time limey to go along with it, this could prove hilarious.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOne thing I'm stuck on here is IF Zamasu is going to be the one behind Black, why is he using a rump timeline of Universe 7 (and a future one at that) for his "Mortals are t3h suck" agenda, instead of his own native universe (Universe 10)?
One person I talked to posited that there might not be ANY powerful mortals of Goku's caliber in Universe 10, so he's using a universe where Saiyans exist as a dry run.

It's probably because Zamasu thinks Goku confirms his opinion that mortals are dangerous.
That said, while Whis and Beerus seem convinced Zamasu is Goku Black, Goku isn't as convinced. He says Zamasu's ki is similar to Black's, but not completely.
Honestly at this stage, Zamasu is such an obvious choice for Black that I'm almost certain that he isn't.

This song needs more love.Toriyama does generally look to subvert expectations. That's why we wound up with an obese and pink manchild as the Final Boss of the entire series.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWell, until he became an 8-foot-tall slender cunning bastard manchild, then a tiny-yet-destructive freakshow of primal behavior that can't even be considered a manchild.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! He became more child than man.
Incidentally, Zamasu's potara doesn't match up with the one worn by Black. However his boss, Gowase's, does.
Maybe he just decides to wipe Universe 7 out first because that's where he needed to be to obtain Goku's body? You know, "While I'm right here, might as well start here"?
I'm really liking Zamasu as a potential villain. His motivations may be pretty generic by normal standards, but by Dragon Ball standards, they're almost revolutionary. You know, having a villain who actually has a point.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I don't know, he seems to ignore that not all mortals are evil.
I'malso curious what the Universe 10 mortals are like.

Kind of thinking that Zamasu experienced what most long-lived characters in Girl Genius experienced, but in a deific scale: that if you live long enough, you'll see the same stupid thing happen again and again and again. And the lifetimes of Kaiohs are measured in the billions of years too...
Oh sure, you might see a few decent mortals here and there, but when you look at it in the perspective of someone who lives as long as stars, they're flashes in the pan, ephemeral bubbles that are gone all too soon, and quickly forgotten and their memories overwhelmed by the stupidity of their people.
Actually, the lifespan of the normal Kais, or Core People, is roughly 75,000 years; the Core People born from golden fruit, or the Supreme Kais, are the ones who can live for several eons.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I just hope we actually get to SEE some of that stupidity that Zamasu has experienced. We don't know that the universe of Dragon Ball operates like that. We only really get to see one planet for most of the story.

Hold up. Has Oozaru Broly ever been used in anything else until now? Because that's a little shocking if it hasn't.

This song needs more love.I really don't think Zamasu is Black. For one, Black Goku only had good things to say about Goku and Black heavily implied that this is the first time he fought Goku, given how he said, 'so this is the power of Super Saiyan Goku'. If he was Zamasu, he would already know about Goku's power, which is why he 'chose' him.
It also wouldn't explain why Zamasu went into Future Trunks' timeline, or even the future to begin with, or how he knew who Vegeta was. I also would think Goku would know what a body switch feels like, given what happened to him. And biggest thing of all, why would Zamasu call himself Son Goku? I doubt it's to ruined Goku's reputation since he doesn't even try to act like Goku and people who do know him don't believe it's him. Black's personality is also different Zamasu's. Black is boardline insane and a sadistic, while Zamasu is more of an upper-crust jerkass.
I do believe Zamasu is connected to Goku, but I don't see it as a possession or a body switch.
As for the stupidity Zamasu could have seen, we know that the Earthlings of U6 wiped themselves out in petty wars and Trunks' timeline was nearly wiped out by androids created by a human who had a grudge against Goku, who died before the androids were even completed. In the main timeline, Super Buu was born from a crazy man shooting his dog and then his only friend. Piccolo came into existence because the Nameless Namek became corrupted by the evil of human-kind, and there is Frieza who is a 'human' by the definition of Dragon Ball (a mortal). Also, Cell was a creation Gero, all to get revenge on Goku, that nearly got the solar system destroyed.
We have seen for ourself some of the petty and evil things mortals do in Dragon Ball.

Legendary Oozaru Broly first appeared in Dragon Ball Heroes. This is it's second appearance in a different game.
I figured as much. I should just assume that Heroes has everything.
This song needs more love.Hey, why does Freeza seal off his power again? I can't really remember.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!According to him, he can't control himself very well in his higher forms.
If that just means he's prone to violent outburst, he really has nothing hide...but he ended up reverting anyway.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.
This episode also kind of implies that there's a weird Timey-Wimey Ball thing going on, as while Zamasu has a low opinion of mortals, he's only become aware about how dangerous they could be AFTER fighting Goku. That, and he doesn't seem to have any idea about the Time Rings, only learning about them after his boss showed the box to Beerus and Whis.
So NOW he's got a chip on his shoulder for Goku. Wonderful.
Also, double set of awkward and heartwarming moment with Kurillin, Trunks, and 18. Lots of smiling from the latter too, and I chuckled at Trunks reacting to 18's use of keigo this time around.
