I binge-watch tv shows in season box sets from the library or Netflix on my DVD player.
From what I can tell with how Kai was handled, it seems like DBS is going to keep the same opening for quite a while, but they'll switch up the endings every 13 episodes or so.
Which I would have preferred...if I still didn't like the opening to Super. It's just very boring imo.
I guess it's not such a big deal, because we've still got Cha-La and it seems like that's still the franchise's theme song. I haven't seen any remixes of Chozetsu Dynamic in Super's OST or anything.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I just learned that SSJ4 GT Gohan's super move is called the x10 Soaring Dragon Strike.
Which re-begs the question, WHAT THE FUCK DOES THE x10 MEAN!?
EDIT: Another thing I noticed, in the initial CG trailer, he also has a red, god-like aura. I wonder if this is because he's technically an Ultimate SSJ4.

It means hitting someone with ten times the amount of force as the normal move.
I wonder....
How purple would a Super Kaioken God Super Kaioken 4x100 look like?
It'd be purple and the aura would be shaped like a funnel. So all the purple.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThat was pretty funny.... wai, was the Epic Voice Guy?!
Seen it already, I liked Platinum Cell and Diamond Buu better.
Anyway, changing openings isn't a matter of whether or not they are better, but what use they have. Tropes Are Tools, an opening or ending theme is just that.
What purpose does changing Super's ending/opening serve? What has changed about the show? The mood? No, it's been on the same arc for it's entire existence. The plot? No, it's still retreading material already covered. Advertisement purposes? No one seems to have picked up on whatever this change has been made to advertise. I suppose there could be competing singers/bands/labels trying to get their Dragon Ball TV spot, but that does not inherently make the show more enjoyable to watch or really have any inherent effect on a viewer.
When Tegen Toppen Gurren Laggan changed it's theme after the time skip there was a reason for that, it was a Time Skip.
This has been the first time I heard that initial Dragon Ball theme in a long while, and that translation for Headchala made me laugh, it describes the series so well.
What has changed is that the Battle of Gods saga has ended and now we're heading into R o F.

TTGL didn't really change OP themes. If I recall correctly, it's the exact some song, it's just the second verse.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think he meant the images they showed, they did change them.
The song is the same, but in the second arc , the images change to reflect that Kamina died. They change again, replacing him with Nia, since she's taken over his role. Later on, the intro changes to reflect the passage of time, showing older versions of the cast.
Unfortunately, the audio quality sucks, but this illustrates the point.
Gurren Lagann was made in 2006, 2007? This is more effective than coming up with an entirely new song/animation, and much simpler I'd think. Maybe it's not a big issue, but I'm still not happy about it.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I do hope that they spend the filler time well, as there's quite a bit of time between the Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F stories — enough time for Pan to be born and then maybe six months after.
Pan will never be born.
She will remain a Super Saiyan power battery for Vegeta to draw on for the godly power he canonically deserves.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
Do hope a filler does touch upon Vegeta getting his turn at the SSG ritual too.
It's funny, picturing them all getting into that circle again just to soothe Vegeta's inferiority complex.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't think Vegeta will do the ritual since last week's episode had him say he'd gain the power without it.
.........
That's not how it fucking works! You have to do the ritual!
They can't just have Vegeta do it without going through the ritual, cause it wouldn't make sense! Where would he even get the idea it's possible without it?
Why would they suddenly say it's possible without it?

One Strip! One Strip!Remember when Goku and Vegeta both just sort of decided that more powerful forms of Super Saiyan exist and the universe accommodated them?
He got it from the same place he got that idea.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I wouldn't say that they knew. It was more like they were hoping that there was. "If X isn't enough then I'll just have to go beyond X" is a pretty common shounen thing. Kinda of a common thing in general, really, since I've seen it in other places (Fate/stay night springs to mind).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! No, it's not at all the same thing. The first time Vegeta mentions it might be pulling the idea out of his ass, but Goku implies that because Vegeta's a genius he was able to see the possibility first. Goku just got the idea from Vegeta, by the way.
And considering those forms are then unlocked by further meditation (as seen with Goku) and that they're pretty basic methods, it's worlds different to how Super Saiyan God and its power has been portrayed up until now. Especially when it was literally said by Goku "this is a power I could never get from training".
Although it's funny how I said back in RF that Vegeta might have just become a SSGSS from training for no reason and now that might actually happen.
It's a very common thing.....
For Saiyans. And I guess Frieza.
For everyone else, there's such a thing as an upper limit.
Then again, Saiyan's are an entire race of Monkey Kings, so I really shouldn't be surprised. We all know how much the monkey king was overpowered.
It's been this particular realization that's slowly helping me deal with the only the saiyans are useful status quo.
You know, I wonder if Toriyama regrets letting the powers inflate as much as he did? I'd be interested to know what he'd change if he could redo some parts of the series.
One Strip! One Strip! He's outright said he's not the type to look back and wish he'd changed something, and that the only thing is that he wish he knew he was making Goku an alien earlier on.
I don't know what context there would be a skip button not related to ads.
But if skipping manually isn't your thing, then you must have the tolerance of infinity.
