"A moody apple spoils the basket" (Is that the correct form of the idiom?)
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman"One rotten apple spoils the bunch" is how I've always heard it.
I've always heard Willbyr's variant, but the last word was "barrel".
Moon◊I think it speaks for itself. A no vote from me on the caption question.
Yeah, that avatar's a 'Shop of my real face.Looking on Google, "one rotten apple spoils the barrel" is the idiom.
The caption would be good!
Pinball cleanup threadThe point is, does Squidward being a sourpuss really spoil anything that the rest of them do? If not, then the analogy doesn't work very well.
Honestly asking, I can count the # of Spongebob eps I've seen on one hand.

I haven't watched Spongebob as anything other than an "ugh, nothing better is on TV right now" show, and from my experience, Spongebob and Patrick are generally too giddily stupid to be brought down by Squidward's sarcastic outlook on life.
Moon◊From the occasional episode of Sponge Bob I caught when I was bored, I think Squidward is mostly just a Butt-Monkey, so I don't think the caption would make much sense. I'm not sure it really needs one though, the picture really speaks for itself.
Yeah, with no consensus on a caption, let's just leave it as is. Locking up.
