Must be a 2D sidescroller? The only game idea I've had is a 2D sidescroller. I may need to give this some thought.

Has to be a 2D side-scroller? I'd just make it myself. :x

I wouldn't mind at least giving it a shot. I've been sitting on what I think is at least an interesting concept, though I wonder if 2D is the right way to go with it.
I have a message from another time...

Fantasy Metroidvania with RPG elements. I can see it work. Just let me work on the story.

This is a contest being held by GameScribe and game studio Renegage Kid (known for Dementium The Ward and Mutant Mudds, among others), where just about anybody can pitch their game idea to them. Anybody. In addition to there being 3DSs and lots of games up for grabs, the grand prize? $5,000, and a chance to develop your game idea for realzies. No fooling. It'll be a 3DS game and everything. The only real requirement is that it's 2D side-scrolling.
This is a neat idea for a contest. I don't know about y'all, but I'm filling out my pitch form as we speak. I've had an idea kicking around in my head for, oh, a decade or so that I might as well throw out there.
