So Kirito confides in every other girl but his actual girlfriend, a respectable man he is.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have asked Lisbeth or Silica or Suguha either due to how they can't provide as good answers (consider how specific his question was toward the nurse at first.)
NOT THAT THIS DOESN'T FAIL TO MAKE ME MAD
WE
NEED
MOAR
ASUNA
MMORPGs are serious business. Its worse than that, really, seeing as how they were actually married for a period of about two weeks (even if that means nothing in the real world, I bet you no one in SAO at that time would have considered it to be any less serious).
Hargle blargle. Rant rant. Rave rave. You guys know my song and dance by now.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! And now I suddenly feel the need to watch Scanners.
Uhh... Care to explain that?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Episode 8, in which anime-original Kirito behavior continues to make me laugh my ass off, and in which the one time we would have the most fanservicey moment in the entire show, it's ironically ruined by camera angles.
Oh, and holy shit Pale Rider. I don't remember him being that awesome in the novel.
MMORPGs are serious business.Episode 8:
- Kirito, you fiend. Setting their hearts on fire like that.
- Dyne's actually pretty good. But that Pale Rider person was ultra-better.
- Gaze upon his form and despair! For he is... The Pale Rider-*stunned*. ...Oh. Didn't...see you there, DG. Haha...
You know, I find it funny how everyone here seems to like Asuna (myself included, mainly due to Haruka Tomatsu ), when all I ever here from most bloggers and reviewers is that she's a generic Tsundere, a Mary Sue, nothing more than a walking stereotype, is useless without her boyfriend, basically a Distressed Damsel, and is essentially just what a gamer's ultimate dream girl is, without any sort of depth, leading to her nickname "Sandwich-kun". To them, the fact that she has less of a focus, and Sinon has the spotlight (they consider her a much stronger and fleshed out heroine) is a plus for this season.
Man, Asuna sure seems to get a lot of hate compared to most other female anime heroines. Why is that?
Because it's the internet.
Or rather, to quote Einstein: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
Give the God Eater game thread some love! The more popular something is, the more relevant.
Hatred for what it has (or what it doesn't have, but is claimed to have anyway) is reinforced over and over again due to reminder.
Unless it's hipsters we're talking about here, they hate anything mainstream purely because of its mainstream-ness.
I don't actually see or hear much hatred for Asuna though. When I do, it's usually in her relevance to Kirito.
In other news, the lack of cheer for Pale Rider's awesomeness disappoints me. Next time I hear a "Kirito is OP" rant, I'm just gonna go all "PALE RIDER SAYS HI"
Now I want a spinoff with Pale Rider and Black Airbender in the spotlight. I mean, those guys just scream Memetic Badass in the making.
MMORPGs are serious business.Man, Asuna sure seems to get a lot of hate compared to most other female anime heroines. Why is that?
Because SAO in general is a really easy target for mockery. It's not the absolute worst anime or franchise in existence, but it is both popular enough and has enough noticeable flaws that critics latch onto it and scrutinize it more. If SAO hadn't blown up in popularity the way it did there would be less complaining about it in general.
For what it's worth, I don't hate Asuna but I never thought much of her either. What happened to her is pretty disappointing, but I don't think she was a particularly interesting character even before she was demoted to waifu.

Total badass. But too bad about the end. (but that is a pretty OP gun that hit him)
Sinon has an idea of what kirito went throughand that part with kirito was hilarious.
Pale Rider was awesome!
Question: So far has anyone in-universe - anyone at all - considered the possibility that Death Gun is not working alone? That while he pretends to kill someone from within the game another person commits the murder in the real world? That was the first explanation I came up with when trying to guess how DG does his thing. Has that been considered in-universe?
Note: I have not read the light novel so if the answer is based on it please spoiler-tag it.
He was practically begging sinon to shoot DG so I think they are still unsure of how DG actually does that. But that sounds like the most likely answer.
It hasn't been considered yet.
And besides, if that were the case then there's the problem of how the heck DG's accomplice is supposed to get into the victim's house to kill them. They use pretty beefy electronic locks, so you can't pick the locks to get in.
He DOES have an accomplice. As for how he gets past the locks...well, I'll let you find out yourself.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!@shadowblack: your guess is correct, Death Gun is actually a team of people including one ex-Laughing Coffin nutcase.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!.... is the name Kirito a unisex name!?
So they give Pale Rider the most incredible animation in the episode... even though he's an extra, and is on the verge of exiting the show forever? Okay...

It's a mashup name; it wouldn't be inconceivable for a girl to come up with it and use it.
...but seriously, Kirito is throwing faintly plausible explanations at the wall and hoping they stick.
Author of The Second Coming (NGE) and The Coin (Haruhi). When I throw faintly plausible explanations at the wall, I embarrass and humiliate myself!

I believe part of the point was for The Worf Effect.
Although if you actually think about it, Pale Rider's skills aren't relevant to how he got screwed over.
MMORPGs are serious business.Indeed. Poor Pale Rider. He fell victim to something pros like himself can't quite shake off.
The element of...SURPRISE~!

Pale Rider is too weak for this anime.
Pale Rider shall get his own spin-off.
Pale Rider is adored by fans everywhere.
This is assuming he lives.
Also, is Pale Rider a tribute to Blassreiter ?
Isn't Blassreiter's Pale Rider this guy in night blue zombie armor?
