I'm expecting Jun to show up in GGO at some point. I mean, he's missed a lot of school due to his illness, and meanwhile, he became an expert at VR games. He'd probably be interested in the money, and it'd be interesting to explore his mental state after watching his friends die while he recovered. Personally, I ship Jun X Sinon, but Jun as a GGO player works regardless of shipping considerations.
Well, I bought Hollow Realization, and I have to say, I'm not impressed. The gameplay is fine, but the cutscenes are way too drawn out, and often used as an excuse to avoid actually playing out missions. It's also a bit annoying that they didn't bother to dub it, either.
Well that's an important revelation. The fact that their names are being revealed now suggests backstory is also about to be revealed.
Okay, so the ending of Hollow Realization leads to the game series re-converging with the canon storyline, with the following changes: Yuuki's alive, Strea exists, and the Death Gun plot has been delayed by a year or so. Granted, this whole thing being a Batman Gambit Roulette by Kayaba at least makes him more interesting as a villain. Frankly, I find a resurrection plot to grant him immortality as a much better motive than anything he could ever forget. He anticipated that the researchers couldn't leave his Cardinal Copy alone, and anticipated that after grooming Kirito to be the hero of SAO, that he wouldn't be able to resist Sword Art: Origins or the Ground Quest. Cardinal did things even Kayaba couldn't predict, yet it still furthered his goal of spending eternity in Aincrad.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!A bit of trivia: The Axiom Church being a Path of Inspiration based on Catholicism is hinted at by the church building being backwards. The main entrance to a Catholic church is always on the west side of the building, so that you enter facing the altar, which is located to the east.
Well it looks like Netflix will be airing the live action SAO, with a pledge to not whitewash Kirito, a huge surprise.
They're also not whitewashing Asuna. It's still a pleasant surprise, regardless.
And from the producer of the piece, Laeta Kalogridis (who recently executive produced Altered Carbon):
Based on that last bit, methinks she wasn't too happy about how that live-action GITS movie from last year turned out...especially when you realize how she wrote a script for it that went absolutely nowhere.
Anyhoo, FINALLY! An anime adaptation that WON'T have whitewashing! Now let's see if the actual quality of the show will be anywhere good.

The EP for Altered Carbon made a GITS script?
That explains everything.
(2) Meanwhile, Agil will be written out of the plot. Hurray inclusivity.
I'm pretty sure Death Note and GITS are the only adaptions guilty of that.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Guyver movies. Dragonball Evolution {shudders}. I'm... not familiar enough with Kite to tell is the live action adaptation of that is an issue. While it never went anywhere, the plans for a Hollywood remake of Full Metal Panic got as far as attaching Zac Efron as the male lead. If I sat down for a while I could probably think of more.
Bulma in Dragonball Evolution is arguably the worst case, since her character is based of a real historical person.
Edit: because I forgot to put an actual title in there. {is embarrassed.}

Where does it say Agil will be written out? He's mentioned in a way that implies he will still be in the movie, just not Japanese.
I'm not sure they're right about the game's demographics, though. I thought the game started in Japan, and Agil was the only black guy in the game because black people are extremely rare in Japan. But he is in Japan. Kirito visits his bar in the real world.
Sounds like they got SAO mixed up with ALO or GGO.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaBulma was based on a fictional character that was based on a real historical person.
Adaptations of adaptations of adaptations of real people have no obligation to be historically accurate.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The next season of the anime will cover the Alicization arc in its entirety. I mean, given I understand there's enough material there to cover a full 24-26 episode series, it's not surprisingly, but cool to have it confirmed.
A SAO detractor explains how he would fix the most disliked arc of the series.
Honestly, even if just one or two of his ideas were part of ALO it would be better.

Please summarize the video for people who can't watch it.
Geoff puts his money where his mouth is and explains how he would do better.
- Comes up with a better explication for Yui (Kirito has a panic attack thanks to his prior VR expiriance, a pixie is sent to help him. Said pixie scans the Yui item and is overwritten as Yui takes over the pixie's body)
- Keep the incest, but remove fanservice for Suguha. Leafa can still keep fanservice.
- Have Suguha get over Kirito instead of joining the harem, either ending up with Rekon or being happy alone.
- Have Kirito and Leafa reach the tree earlier, and cut out the Salamander stuff
- Rekon tells Kirito abut the meeting between fairy tribes. At the meeting, Kirito reveals his true identity. Eugene doesn't believe him, so they fight.
- Have Kirito suck at ALO at first, and have him fly with the controller instead of duel wield. He wins the fight on the bridge because it's in a no-fly zone.
- The fight is a draw, but Eugene believes Kirito is who he says he is and will participate in the raid
- Get rid of the rape scenes
- Yui can naturally pass the door without the card, so when they reach the tree, they find an empty cage with the card and a note about Oberon's plan.
- Oberon brainwashes Asuna into fighting Kirito. Yui is freeing the other trapped players at this point.
- Asuna, now calling herself Titania, fights Kirito while Oberon makes the pain real, forcing Kirito to play defensive so he will not hurt Asuna.
- Yui finishes her job, and seeing Yui snaps Asuna out of the brainwashing. Yui gives Kirito the acces code instead of Kabaya's ghost.
- Kirito gets the seed from either Kabaya's ghost or Yui
- Kirito kills Oberon IRL
- The End.

So wait the solution was making Asuna even more useless to the point she is brainwashed to fight Kirito.
And really I don't see how anyone can say Suguha is in the harem. She hangs out with him, but that is what family does. That and for her to be in the harem the attraction would have to be mutual. Kirito definitely in not interested in sleeping with his cousin.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaHow does a brainwashed fight make her more useless? Here Oberon uses her as a weapon against Kirito. And don't we all want to see a fight between the two, since she's said to be as strong as he is?

Because unlike where she was able to actually figure out the passcode to nearly escape and ensured that Kirito had a way to bypass the locked gate a brainwashed Asuna would just used as a pawn to fight Kirito. It removed what little she accomplished in that arc and turn her into a complete damsel.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaThat's still better then watching Sugou molesting Asuna.
You gotta start somewhere.
