It's not just a bear... it's the God of Bears!
Personally to me the art looks more Animesque than flatout anime. Still got some Western flavor in there.

Gather your bearings, bearcause you'll bearly be able to survive this unbearable battle... unless you come beary prebeared, that is.
I'm failing to see how this is even an issue. An independently developed JRPG set during the American Revolution hardly seems like something to complain about. As an anime fan myself, I have to ask...what exactly is the hangup?
by the way it seem it will be freeware game in case you dont notice it

Careful, if people like me complain about the complainers too much, we become the REAL complainers.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadWell, no, anime is certainly not just an artstyle.
But there is certainly a difference between anime in looks, and anime in storytelling and tropes. While this game has an anime artstyle, it doesn't look like it will be too anime in story and tone.
...Does that make sense, or am I rambling?
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderThis is a little more what I meant. An animated show could potentially look like Garfield or Adventure Time, but have an animesque story or mood. A lot of it is cultural, but a show or visual story that's drawn in the anime style isn't inherently going to be animesque in its storytelling and characters.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadThe way I see it, Japan simply has a large catalog of visual and storytelling tropes that have evolved separately from Western tropes enough that it gives the illusion of a "style". The idea is that you can often tell a Japanese visual work just by looking at it, or recognize when a work is influenced by Japanese animation, but it's almost impossible to pin down how, since on paper the tropes don't sound all that different from Western ones.
Along those lines, even though the style of the lineart is definitely anime-inspired, the colour palette isn't. Heavy use of earth tones like that is pretty rare in Japanese works
It seems to be based on the mechanics of those games more than anything, but with some anime influence because it was originally based off of Axis Powers Hetalia.
