Suggestion: Raymanian Limbs

The current image ... it burns....

Actually, it's not the invisible arms that irk me, I just have a really hard time reading that face. Can we get something better?

This is also one case where almost any random shot of the Trope Namer could make a decent visual indicator of the trope.

But of course, we don't want to duplicate the page image for the Rayman series article, either. It's not like we can't find a better TWFC image, either.

Current image def needs to go bye bye. You can't even tell that he doesn't have limbs due to the black chalkboard.

I think any and all of those suggestions are better.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.

I, in my infinite wisdom, choose 1.1. tongue

*vomits* OK, now that that's out of my system, I vote either the first or second Rayman one. Preferably the first since it is higher quality.

Not that those are the only choices. [1] [2] [3]

@Kaiser: You're absolutely right; the presence of a blackboard in the scene certainly doesn't help make his limbs any more ... uh, visible?

Why not just use...well, Rayman?

1.2 or 5.2 work fine for me.

I, in my infinite wisdom, mistyped 1.2. I meant 1.2.

Well that was silly.

I like 5.2.

I'm fine with any of the Rayman shots in this thread so far.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

Got some support for my second suggestion, which I find about as good as my third… anyone else wanna vote for either of those voice your voice?

I prefer 5.2 over 5.3, honestly.

1's okay, but Rayman's better. Not a fan of 2.

[up][up][up] Can you get a version of the first one where the cloak isn't hiding most of his body? If so, I might like that over the others as it's less of a duplicate of Raywhatshisname. At the moment, I like 1.1 as it shows the shadows, but any of the suggestions of Rayhowdoispellit are good. Except the comic-style one. I don't like that one of Raywhybother as much.

Nope! He always holds an hand or half of both them under his cape. His name is Daroach if you want to made a research by yourself. What about this? His name is Ed and he comes from Tonic Troble, a game where every character has raymanian limbs, and that was produced by the same soft house that made Rayman.

We would have to ask the artist to use that one.

I still like 5-2 better.

Not just the same development house, the same character designer - Michel Ancel, as I recall, designed both Rayman and Ed.

Anyway, there's also official art of Ed, but I can't find it in any larger size, and it's a bit small. Illustrates the trope clearly, though.

Bumping because Rayman is a great choice and I still don't get the current one.

6, 7 counting [up], votes for 5.2. I think this thread has existed long enough for the pic to be replaced. Any reason I shouldn't make that happen?
