I kinda prefer the suggestion; it shows more of the frills and stuff that's associated with the style. It also helps that the characters are wearing different outfits; in the current pic they're wearing very similar clothes, just in different colors. This picture has more variety.

Yeah, I'd say switch. They're both good enough pictures, but the second one is slightly better, and we should always strive to have the best possible images.

Uh? ImageLinks.Elegant Gothic Lolita has had multiple pictures going back at least to 2010. That's why I suggested using it.

Right now the current image isnt bad but it is really lacking in focus on the costumes and frills which the caption makes a point to point out it.
