Would you use a cheating option for real life?

Yes.

I'd likely only enable a few cheats though, no clip for traveling and so that I can see what earths center looks like, maybe a few practical but not over powered abilities(the Reality Warper kind) I'd still want to complete some things on my own merits.

Maybe use THE DESTROYER COMETH , if I enter a corner.

Well, for me, I'll just state again that knowledge is my kind of power, and I want it in its entirety. That's about it

If the world is really just a game, then I would go by what I would do with a game. Keep it fair for the sake of not spoiling the fun, but experiment with the cheats for curiosity.

But in real life, the assumption doesn't hold, and therefore this won't apply.
