First look at the new Muckman courtesy Toy Fair.
It's actually quite a bit different from the concept sketches◊ we already saw before, but it follows the the original 80's character almost point-for-point, even the frog clinging to his pants, just adding some extra stuff, doing away with the octopus tentacle beard (awww....) and giving him cartoonier proportions.
No telling how the final Joe Eyeball looks.
He was a good guy in the old toon, so that'll probably remain the case. I'm sure we'll only get to see him once like every other mutant though : /

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Funnily, I just watched the '87 series episode with Muckman yesterday.
Wow, they made even grosser, yay.
The question is, will the two of them be based on Jackie Gleason and Art Carney again?
Probably not.
Well, to be fair, and no disrespect intended to him, but Jackie Gleason has been dead probably longer than much of the target audience has been alive, not many of them would get the reference.
Heck, I didn't even notice that when I saw the '87 version two days ago (and I'm old enough to know who Gleason and Carney are).

Just checked Wikipedia and new episodes resume on March 8th.
And then they will abruptly disappear from the airwaves with nary a word.
...Apologies for that bout of pessimism.
Spoilers below, read at your own risk.
So there's going to be a two-parter involving Slash as the leader of the Mighty Mutaniamls fighting the Kraang. Make of that what you will.
Sunday's episode, according to the Direct TV guide:
I'm surprised; this is the fourth non-filler episode in a row.
It's been 3000 years…A clip of the upcoming episode.
I actually rather like Steranko taking up the "Rocksteady" moniker.
I know, it's like we expect every episode to be filler now.
On another note, does anyone think we should give the memes their own page, they're piling up.

Aw yeah, 2012 Bebop and Rocksteady kicking some ass!

I missed the episode. Freaking daylight savings time.
So why was Leo trying to break into that van?
He was trying to free the other turtles, Casey, and April from that van, which belonged to Bebop and Rocksteady.
On today's episode, man, Karai turns more and more into a Woobie every time I see her.
On next week's episode, hell yeah, Slash, Leatherhead, Tyler Rockwell, and Pigeon Pete coming back!

It's been 3000 years…I just saw the episode and i have three things to say about it;
1. As many fans have no doubt come realize, this show has basically taken elements from the 80's incarnation and given them the 2003 version's level of seriousness.
The Shredder is a human being using mutant henchmen and robot ninjas like in the 80's version, but now it's all portrayed in a truly menacing way; this version of the Shredder is as menacing as the 2003 version, his Footbots are not easy to beat and neither are his mutant henchmen, even Rocksteady and Bebop are made a legitimate danger now. Splinter is a human turned mutant like he was in the 80's version, but now, that's played to the show's drama and his own inner conflict. This time Kraang and Dimension X are actually menacing words to hear and the fact the Shredder is working with them actually makes both twice the danger. Just something i just noticed.
2. I had my doubts about this week's episode, but, all in all, it wasn't so bad. Though, all things considered, i'm worried about next week's episode(s).
3. Karai's goodbye was pretty said, and her capture at the end now has me even more worried about her future. In the end, who is she going to go with; Shredder or Splinter?
saw it at last
Wonder why Shredder just sent Zeck and Steranko out alone instead of sending someone to watch after them to make sure they don't try any funny business.
Because A) the rest of Shredder's men hate their guts, B) Zeck has really good tracking systems that Tiger Claw's nose alone can't beat, and C) Shredder can just find them and kill them like he promised.
It's been 3000 years…Battle For New York is on Nick's website right now.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Minor spoiler below:
Kirby is turned back to normal, and reunites with April, but no mention of "Buried Secrets" is mentioned. I am dissapointed.

I was getting a little worried with the schedule slippage but the show came back with a vengeance
yay
I'm currently watching the episode, and Mikey's actions result in a perfected Retro-Mutagen, don't they?
Because if they do, I'm going to be annoyed.
Edit: Yep. It appears to be the case. I'm annoyed.

Saw "The Battle for New York" online, and I have to say, it's technically not disappointing, as the episode is perfectly in line with everything the showrunners have ever done. Kraang Sub-Prime's frustration at the rest of the Kraang was especially cheeky; yes, it's true that they are largely incompetent, writers; that's your fault. Acknowledging a problem means nothing if steps aren't taken to correct it.

Avatar art by Lorna-Ka.Bepop: Time for the Next Mutation, turtle.
I don't know if I should laugh or cry that they actually went there.
Oh what the hell, I'll laugh. AHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAA.
Is it just me, or did Slash's lower lip/jaw change color?
So a couple of things, in Return to New York, Leo dropped at least one of his swords into the mutagen. Any chance it'll mutate? We have humans, animals, plants, food, and machines mutating, so what are the odds of putting inanimate objects on the list? And in Serpent Hunt, Steranko's mutation process into Rocksteady, anybody think his silouette looked like a Triceraton?
