Good idea in principle...no idea how well it would resize/crop for our needs.
Isn't this trope when someone suggests the simple solution, rather than simply going out and doing it?
Although if this gets support, I'd be happy to crop and re-arrange panels. That ridiculously expensive photo software has to be good for something, right?
EDIT: What about This strip◊?

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I really like ccoa's suggestion.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Quick-and dirty crop and resize:
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Well, that was easy...works well enough for me, although someone may want to see it on a white background.
Looks good to me, thanks!
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!White background:

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.That looks good, except for the bit above the second panel and the black between it and the third panel.
I'm still iffy on if that image is actually an example. The trope is about people suggesting the simple solution, and that's someone simply doing the simple solution. It might fit, since Tropes Are Flexible, but it's not the typical form of the trope as defined.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I'm a bit confused, the trope description says: "There is a problem. A dramatic, elaborate, and dangerous (and sometimes, pretty darn cool) solution is proposed to solve it. Then some other jerk points out that a much simpler Mundane Solution exists."
Is that even happening in the Girl Genius image?
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Yeah this is a dialog trope. That image is not an example.
Well, yes. The mundane solution is unplugging the machine.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I know that, but the trope is about one character creating a long and complicated plan for something only for another character to suggest a much simpler solution, whereas in the picture one character assumes that there isn't any solution and then another character proves him wrong. I suppose it's slightly related to the trope but it isn't really an example of it.

What is this "sleep" you speak of?Bump. Again, the Girl Genius image isn't an example of the trope but the suggestion in #3 is.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Single-panel comic.
I guess just leave the page imageless.
Seconding ccoa's suggestion.
I reject your requirement for a witty statement or fanboyish squealing in my signature.edited 6th Apr '12 11:08:35 PM by abk0100
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The trope currently has no image. I would like to put up part of this strip, but I'm not too good at cropping and moving panels around. Do people like this idea, and can somebody help?
