Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. If we want to stick with the trope namer, might this be better?
That's good.

I think that spiderman one is good because it is easier to see in general and does show the trope.
Her actually being dead in his arms makes it better for me.
Fight smart, not fair. That is better.
Here is another image that might work: [1]◊

I like both of those, but prefer the one with her dead in his arms. More dramatic, easier to get what's going on at a glance without having to read the speech balloons.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Without the speech balloon, "I keel you Green Goblin!" actually doesn't clearly indicate she is dead.
Thought the trope title obviates that.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. It is possible this will get renamed at some point. Anyway, the idea is for the image to support the description, not merely depict it.
edit: But either image is fine, word balloons or no.

She looks like she might be dead. The part I am saying doesn't matter is confirming for certain she is dead.
The image does show that Spider-Man is angsty about it. Not sure what would be more descriptive, short of a comic strip-... I mean, "multi part picture".
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I tried to put together a multipanel, but the dialog ended up all but unreadable.
Different crop of (and speech bubbles removed from) the image in #28

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
Both of those are good. I like the one with words better though.
I think so far, this one or the "don't be dead, Gwen" are my favorites.
If we went with the "Don't be dead, Gwen" one, the other one would work nicely for Died in Your Arms Tonight - which, IIRC, has its own IPD going on.
And yet, I think that other image is the better of the two for THIS trope...

Moon◊Maybe we could get something from this image?◊
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.^That ones very good. It just needs to be bigger.
Too much going on. When it's shrunken down to authorized size, it will be unreadable.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.I lol at the "only girl I'll ever love" line considering how Mary Jane is the most well known love interest.
Fight smart, not fair.Gwen Stacy is a Canon example of Die for Our Ship. The writer of Spider Man at the time liked MJ better. At least, that's what I've heard.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Are you perhaps familiar with that story? Because as it is it doesn't illustrate the trope and it's Just A Face And A Caption.
