Did you read my sign-up sheet? Dark Knight spells, and the four crystals. This was all defined beforehand.
What I'm not really sure about is Culex's 'relative' power. He is certainly more powerful than Bowser.. but Bowser, especially after all current games, could beat Culex by himself.
Please don't go, I'm not really trying to be difficult. The spell I'm throwing at you is a minor one. The spells the crystals are throwing at mooks are pretty much stronger. But Demi is difficult to stop, and ignoring the effects of Demi is a sign of real power which Culex is looking for.

Suicide?
He even said "I'll set the ship on its course and escape". Unless the ship's a person, that's hardly suicidal.
Yeah, I think it would be rather a shame to leave over something relatively minor as this, especially since your characters are kind of critical to the plot.
Locking you up on radar since '09Okay, um, right.
Firstly, I would suggest that next time you link to the abilities your character has rather than saying "Final Fantasy X-2 Dark Knight abilities", as that really doesn't explain anything to anyone not familiar with the series.
Secondly, demi is a localized area of high gravity, not an internalized black hole (Black Hole exists as a spell, but it's final boss territory, and so really shouldn't be showing up this soon). As it's a field and not something created inside the target, it is easily dodgable, especially for such a swift fighter as Signum.
Thirdly... No, seriously, why the hell is a superboss taking part in an early game raid? And no, just because he knows Bowser is not a good explanation. And... No, Bowser isn't stronger than him. Really. Use your head. >.> I'm pretty sure others will back me up on this. But seriously, there's a reason why the Emperor and the Book of Darkness are sitting out right now: because they're so powerful they'd break whatever semblence of balance there was right now. Beings of that level of power really shouldn't be taking part in a small raid like this. Seriously.
...Ugh, sorry. This is just... It irks me a little, that's all. Not least because of how Raineh's taking it. >.< Hurm.
Someone'd better PM Rain and call her back; I've got the uneasy feeling she dropped watch on this thread.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundShe's away at the moment, actually. Once she shows up again I'll try and talk to her.
I know I'm being a bit melodramatic here, but I wish I had explained things more clearly. One of my concerns right now is that Raineh's exit might lead to a cascade effect (which in turn might lead to the RP dying).
Locking you up on radar since '09I feel as if this is also my fault, so I have to say "sorry".
I don't know much about the subject, at all, but... superboss? Really? Um... yeah, that shouldn't be around, notice how the villains are kind of not sending superpowerful minions or their own superpowerful selves out in a couple cases? There's a reason for that. A pretty big one.
I can honestly sum this up as horrible planning. While Raineh got too angry over this, I agree with her, and I agree with Moerin.
And your bio doesn't say he'll toss out giant crystals that tear things apart with ridiculous spells, so that's kind of a huge issue as well.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."If it helps, I can think of a way for Culex to leave (although it doesn't quite work since he's fighting Signum - and there are the other Wings to consider - for reasons that will become obvious) - perhaps he feels that he's wasting his time on the Andvaranaut and gets out of there?
Locking you up on radar since '09So... yeah, I'm back around* but I still don't have any idea what to do. Because... well... there's stuff going on everywhere. Why did everyone decide to be present on an unremarkable ship? >.<
Avatar SourceI have to admit that we haven't really taken the time to actually describe what the Andvaranaut's interior is like, so it's kind of hard to make out who's where. Personally, I'm imagining Ezio and the Lady are maybe off in a side area (since otherwise it might be a touch hard to explain why neither of them have reacted to Signum, Culex, and so on).
As for why he's there, well... he wanted to go and investigate the Citadel*, and decided that the best way (or at least one of the more inconspicuous ways) was to take passage on something like the Andvaranaut that's unlikely to attract attention.
Locking you up on radar since '09I was running out of comparisons. ::shrug::. I coulda sworn I'd put up the link to FF Wikia FFX-2 Dark Knight as that is what I'm using as reference.
Seemed important to start posting at the time and get on with the RP rather than sit back as I'd initially planned, since our GM left and posts weren't going quick.
Culex isn't going to do much here but kill mooks and take a couple shots at the stronger enemies, P Cs. He's already found that the enemy isn't very strong and he prefers real fights. Consider this small raid a singular proving ground for Bowser's allies to see off Culex's power. This small raid should show that Culex means business to the Doomsday Raiders, and he won't need to go on other small jobs again.
You know, criminals want to see proof that you aren't just some cop.
There wasn't a powers section of the sign-up (which there should be), but I included this brief part as I'm following Fanon. Most of that powers list was noting that the Crystals can fire off -Aja spells. For the most part, I'll just let them shoot -A spells as -Aja take a lot of mana.
The crystals aren't 'too' difficult to destroy and once gone they won't come back for that fight.
Why is Bowser destroying his ship by throwing it at their ship anyway? He seems to be more concerned about destroying the enemy ship than anything.

I think what Anno means is that you didn't say he would throw them out and have them keep autocasting at the scenery, when the scenery is a spaceship. One that was meant to be captured, not destroyed.
Avatar SourceBut Bowser is throwing an entire ship at the enemy ship, seems like he wants to destroy it.
I'll hold the Earth Crystal back though. Quake isn't going to do much to anything else.
Exactly!
Wait...

Eh, between early Mario and now, Bowser has gotten a lot stronger than just a couple fireballs. Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story saw to that. I think Bowser is stronger than you give him credit for and I think you are giving Culex too much credit. Like I said, I was thinking Bowser could face off against Culex and might even win against him. If he was smart, which he isn't. But with Kamek's help he'd do just fine.

But he always goes back to being made of tissue paper whenever another of the 2D platformers comes out. Since I've only ever played the platformers, he's made of tissue paper to me. >.>
Avatar SourceYeah, that's a bit... uh... I dunno the word for it. But you're practically saying "I only know him from these games, so that's how he's like for me". Yeah.
... I'm saying that what I've actually seen for myself is more important to me than some other things?
Oh, wait! I played one other Mario game! Umm... Bowser gained amnesia, then got possessed and either made to crossdress or forced to change sex. >.>
Avatar SourceCulex was a Bonus Boss , but I certainly didn't think that was going to go as far here .
^^Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga?
Locking you up on radar since '09Is that the one with the kingdom with all the beans in it?

I can't make sense of the video because I've never played the damn game.
Eugh. Fuck it, I quit. Can't be bothered to deal with an idiotic shoutout thing that somehow gained the ability to pick and choose spells from FF games as it pleases and can infinitely spam attacks.
Have fun dealing with suicidal Bowser.
