I like the two-parter images.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I'm fine with either Rainbow Mario or the SMB 3 Two-parter from the bottom of the previous page. Between the two, I'm largely indifferent.
Whoa, a good two-parter image? I'm genuinely impressed.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Multiparters can be good, but you have to know what elements to keep in the composition and what to crop off. You don't just place multiple screenshots side-by-side.
I also kinda miss that the All-stars version of SMB 3 doesn't have those impact stars like its version of SMB 1 does. (I did try to get to the Spiny portion of the level, but it's harder than it looks when you're also trying to take screenshots.)

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I like that last SMB suggestion...possible to get it a bit bigger?
That one works; well done on getting it.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Slightly larger version of Stratadrake's image:
That is a little blurry. The only way to preserve the sharp pixel-ness was exactly doubling the width, and that exceeds the uploader limit.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I am not sure how I see a trope in or any other pic than the rainbow one.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPlaying devil's advocate, to someone who knows absolutely nothing of Super Mario Bros, that two-parter shows just upside-down turtle shells floating around a rainbow-colored Mario.
Even if you know upside-down means dead in SMB, it's still only showing inverted Collision Damage, not invincibility.
The "Metal Mario in fire" -image would work, but you can't see him in there. Maybe an image of him walking in lava or something (if he can do that, I don't remember).
I had no idea that upsidedown meant dead; I assumed they were raining on him or something, and he was getting a bonus rather than taking collision damage. As it stands, I'm not sure if I prefer that to the plain rainbow-colored Mario.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. But it is a rainbow-coloured Mario...

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. This one's ready to go. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged. Caption or no?
Hearing nothing, let's lock up and move on.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Now that's a good one!
EDITED IN: One little nitpick, though; using the spiked enemies would be (albeit slightly) more immediately obvious than using the less-threatening-looking turtle-like koopas.
