It's pretty much entirely text. I don't see how that would help very much as a page image, honestly.
somethingI cropped it way down, but I think it might work if we include the last one — "Post here if you're neutral" with 0 replies...

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Or with one more column cropped off, to make it a little more legible at max width

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I like it.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! How about turning to the Sonic fanbase? Seriously, Sonic's mere DESIGN is a Base Breaker (there are people who prefer classic Sonic.)
You'll need an image, not just "Sonic fanbase".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI was just suggesting a general idea... as part of the discussion.
Ok, the reason that the page currently has no image and a note not to put one up is that the images we tried caused edit wars, between the people who said "This character is a base breaker." and the people who said, "Nuh-uh, he's not." Using any character will cause the same thing again.
But there's a second reason, and that's that it's an audience reaction, not the character themselves, really; and that forum thread list shows it pretty well — the threads stating that the same character is both the Most Loved and Most Hated character are busy, while the one for "Post here if you're neutral on him" is dead in the water.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I really like the "forum screencap" pic.
I like it too. I think it's probably the only way to show a trope like this.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThanks, Madrugada! That's a big help.
I'm glad my image is getting this much support.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Good suggestion.
I made another crop of it◊, because I'm having trouble reading the versions on posts three and four... but I have eye trouble so maybe it's just me.
I'd prefer changing the colors so that the titles aren't made harder to make out.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. That's less fuzzed, but the white on blue is still not easy to read.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.What's the best colour to change it to? Dark grey is rather dull.
Well, a big chunk of it is that the white letters are fuzzed with the background color, I suspect as an artifact of the re-sizing. I tried changing the blue to other colors and got the same thing — only the fuzzing was green or grey or whatever instead of blue. I'm not sure how to clean that up.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Light text on a dark background in general is kind of hard to read. Same colors but more contrast maybe? Also save as PNG instead of JPG for lossless (not lossy) compression, no additional compression artifacts. (A lossless original would mean none at all.)

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Turning up the saturation just turns the text blue instead and I've saved it as a .jpg. It's too late to turn back now.
Saturation?! :)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I meant, "increase contrast" doesn't mean "increase saturation". Browsing on a laptop without an image editing app, sorry. If using Photoshop the command is Adjustments>Image>Brightness/Contrast. (A>I>Curves is preferable but hard to explain how to use.)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I know how they work (darkrooms are more fun though). Issue is that just a little tweek makes it either very fuzzy or very painful.
This◊ is the best I could do.
Better? I saved it as a .jpg, and did a flood fill with the background color, with the tolerance cranked up
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
Alright, so I took the time to make this image, which definitely shows us the trope. And the character in question is a major example. Also, all the usernames were edited except for "Admin". But I'm worthless at cropping, and the image has too much to upload or something. I have it here◊. Would somebody crop it for me, if they were kind enough?
By the way, it's from Warrior Cats, and that's an image of the Warriors Official Forum edited with Google Chrome.
..............Although I'm not sure if an image would be allowed for this page.
