It's just a name trademarking though, yeah? Nothing to go on quite yet. Not sure if this is "doublefine adventure" or just them trademarking something ahead of time in case they decide to do something with it down the road.

I have a message from another time...

REVEALED.

And it's being penned by Monkey Island Ron Gilbert.

You better clear in first post that Ron Gilbert's project published by SEGA isn't Double Fine Adventure because people were confused about that in DFA forums too tongue

Also preferably on thing you wrote as people jump easily on conclusions tongue

I pre-ordered because I didn't buy any games for Christmas, it was only $15, and I wanted more variety in my PC game library.

Seems pretty good so far. Just finished the Knight's level first; I especially liked how the damn sword immediately gets dropped into another rock.

EDIT: It's quite annoying that there's no way to see the other ending for a character without doing the entire game over.

Also, I maintain that ladders suck in every game and this is no exception.

Any other reception of this game?

Giant Bomb gave it a 3 out of 5 stars, saying that it's a rather uneven experience. There are great moments in the storytelling and puzzle-solving that are bogged down by lots of backtracking and the overall feeling that, though solid, it could have been more coherent overall.

Yeah, I can say you may want to wait for it to be on sale if you're not big on adventure games.

One thing to keep in mind is that it's not really a puzzle platformer, it's straight puzzle adventure game that happens to use platforming controls as an interface.

I've had this sitting in my Steam library for a year now. I was really excited when I first heard about it and I got it immediately after Fallout 4 but... I'm just not great at puzzle games I guess.

The narrative definitely caught my eye but it does feel a little bogged down with the insanity of some of these levels. I picked the Knight, the Hillbilly, and the Monk first and I still have an old save from the carnival area... which so far is complete and utter BS.
