After the rune was drawn on his hand, the teacher paused a moment.

Sammy sat in the auditorium. Age couldn't escape the feeling that she may be the last student to be named. She sighed, and sank into her seat.
As he said that, the Spell Circle turned pitch black, showing what Reitt had suspected for a while. The real nature of his magic.
"...Thank you, Professor."
And with that he went back to his seat. Mom and Dad have still managed to control what magic I use, even as I have moved myself away from them.

"To answer your question," Brendan said, smiling at Alexander. "There is no bad magic. Only bad people."
Sammy jumped to her feet and sprinted towards the stage, nearly tripping up in the process. Once on stage, she stuck her hand out with a bog grin on her face.
The teacher drew the rune on her hand, then looked at it with careful consideration as it changed colour. "Telekinesis!"
((OOC, I'll let you decide the colour it became.))

"Magenta paint! Awesome!" Sammy skipped down the stairs and lost her footing, resulting in her faceplanting on the floor.
Gretchen flinches back at Sammy doing the same thing as her, and a tear begins to roll down her face. After a moment, she nervously gets up, and walks over to Sammy, offering Sammy her hand.
A student walks out of the door of the living tower. He doesn't seem to have his brush on hand like students are told, but if you were to look at his hip, you'd notice a holster with an angular inside of it.
Blue Pacific, signing off...Some more students got their runes, and the teacher seemed grateful that so few remained without mark, probably because she still remembered that one year where almost everyone had a name starting with Z. "Taurin Reylus!" she shouted.
As planned, Taurin noticed when his name was called and, bull-summon still by his feet, walked up to find out what he presumed was rather obvious.
The teacher wrote the Spell Circle down, and glanced at it while paying more attention to the bull creature. "Summoning!" they shouted.
Taurin acknowledged the confirmation of his summoning and, happy to finally be done and be able to get done with other things, walks away, bull-summon still following by his feet and later plans in mind.
Sammy looked into the face of Gretchen, and took hold of her hand and pulled herself up. "Thank you." she held her hand to her nose to stop the bleeding. "I'm Sammy."
Gretchen turns slightly red in her face, and softly says, "I'm Gretchen... Are you alright?"
"I think so... Does my nose look broken?" Sammy dropped her hand to reveal her nose, allowing a trickle of blood to escape.
Gretchen reaches out, and lightly touches Sammy's nose, "...D-doesn't appear to be..."
"Okay, thank you again... Gretchen..." Sammy lowered her voice a bit, and walked off to try and find a bathroom to sort her nose out.
Gretchen nervously watches Sammy go, still red in the face, before turning around, and returning to her seat.
After finding the bathroom, Sammy sortd out her nose whilst looking at herself in the mirror. She carefully traced the scar on her face, wincing in pain slightly.
Nate noticed David coming out of the tower, sans wand. Didn't the students always have to carry them? He was pretty sure they had to.
He waved at the other boy. "Hey, David! Where's your wand?"
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobDavid reached for the wand at his side and pulled it out, the paint inside the holster had taken the shape of the barrel of a pistol. David, of course, was taking every safety precaution available with the paint weapon.
David: Here it is. It's something I created over the summer.
Blue Pacific, signing off..."Cool." Nate had to wonder if it was okay to carry around a gun like that, but surely David would have OK'd it with the teachers first? "Oh yeah, I remember, you create weapons or something right?"

Reitt walked forward, smiling confidently.
"Right here."
He had to wonder what color his Paint or whatever would be. Though he did have a nagging idea of what it was gonna be.
