Doesn't Garfield talk (think) to the audience near constantly?
edit: did a quick google search for garfield strips. I looked at a page of them, and, by my count, Garfield either looks at or directly talks to the audience in about a quarter of them.

The current Garfield image might make a decent candidate for the trope currently known as "Oh Hi There", but it's Not An Example of No Fourth Wall — that strip's Fourth Wall is actually of average solidity.
